Funny idea.
Losing a level and restarting kind of killed the funny flow of the game for me. I would have preferred a bad ending or something.
If you continue this, maybe go kind of like "This is Not a Game"
I did make it that way because of the difficulty, with the intention of making an “easy rage game” (more beatable but still as hard). It does kind of make it feel watered down though.
