This is a semi old bug, but if you interact with Maxwell or Argemwell in any way causes their music to go very quiet.
I believe this is intentional as the music was turned waaay up to make it easier to find them but it's downright mind-numbingly loud when they're on your deskI think a nice middleground would be patting changing the volume lol
