For the prologue you don't need to worry too much about resource management, as it's designed so that you can't get yourself soft-locked. The next expeditions can be a bit more unforgiving, but at that point in the game you can get back to your base and order more supplies if you realize you need them. The only thing is that it takes some time each time you do this, time that Tel spends being busy eating away your stash of rations :)
As of now there's no way to get more money in the demo version, but in the patreon version you get it by giving artifacts to Tel so she can sell them! The whole system still needs to be balanced a bit, but until I have most expeditions available, I'd rather keep it pretty easy. I agree I could do a better job explaining how all of this works in-game
My backlog of tasks definitely includes adding some options to the game, like fullscreen and a way to control the volume of the audio.
