I didn't find a layers theme, but the game feels atmospheric and reminds good "Duskers" game
Glad you enjoyed the game, I was definitely going for a more atmospheric experience this time! Also, the layers element of the maze comes in when you start climbing the ladders and traversing the different layers of the maze.
