Well as stated, it is unfinished, so I am not going to comment on that but I would like to share some feedback.

Movement and turning are not grid based but free movement and rotation. This is not what is considered grid-based-movement.

In grid-based-movement you can only turn into the four cardinal direction (North, East, South, West) and only walk on a "grid" where each grid intersection is the center of an "tile". Each tile would be a square of a fixed extend and you would only move between the center of adjacent tiles. In case of instant movement you would basically teleport to the next tile center but you are free to animated the transition.
