there is a map of the maze in the forum here (google tutorial secrets and it'll likely come up), but it will spoil you about more of the tutorial so your choice if you want to try to find it or not
sticking to just the left or just the right wall does work if you do it from the beginning, the way out is not inside a loop and neither is a secondary room.
