I'm before the library, but can't find where I'm supposed to go to get to route 2?

Follow up question, where in the maze is the Keystone? Because I looked all over and can't find it
in a blue chest somewhere in the middle of the maze,its above the big horizontal corridor that spans most of the maze though... and the room cant be escaped after you get the chest because trapdoors
