downloading the new 1.2 version sends my computer into freak out mode, auto quarentines the .zip and deletes it saying it contains a known malware virus
Hmmm, I have no idea why it's false flagging for some people. Are you also using Norton ?
i am not, i also attempted a whitelist and it still flagged and killed it.... wont even allow a download
