I know about this problem, but don't know what to do

99% of the time it is because the program is "unsigned". most games here on itch.io should be fine(haven't had a issue yet and have almost a terabyte of random free games from here). The unfortunate thing about signing is that the process costs (from what I have been told) about $100/year.
