I found it alright; knowing it was a april fools game beforehand I could enjoy some of the tropes as parody in the "story" sections- like the inexplicably super-detailed medical knowledge that the writer researched (both with the arrow and hypothermia lol). Some didn't hit as hard (reusing "comically" and "unceremoniously", eh, sure). The meta-story felt a bit unfocused but there are some solid jabs with common artistic feedback experiences.
The best part was for me the deer reveal. I actually turned away from the screen and laughed at how ridiculous it was (10/10). It was a good mix of timing, surprise and setup/reveal.
I think I would've liked it more if more of the jokes where more on that level, but it has it's moments and charm, and it did keep me interested enough to finish it.
