Run it through Wine. If Wine isn't running it well then use PlayOnLinux. If that isn't somehow getting the desired performance then make a boot usb for linux, open up gedit, and shrink your partition so you can run windows on a separate partition.
We've got a linux version though. Should be easier than that??
Oh I'm aware but they're having difficulty installing it when it's as simple as apt-get install [package name]
Now that I think. Did you designate where you should install from in the terminal? As in is it from the usual folder? That might be the issue.
