I like it, especially for a first time game made in a week! One suggestion, of what I personally think could improve it:
- The basic mechanic was really neat, but it was - I think probably unintentionally - hard to discern what exactly is casting a shadow. I experienced similar problems with the light mechanics of Godot in my first game. One thing that could work is to actually make it two lights on different layers - one strong one that casts shadows and truly illuminates, and a weaker, ambient light that does not cast shadows (at least not by the objects, maybe by the same occluder that keeps the light directional, still). That way, there should be a faint view of what you are lighting, instead of just a pitch black silhouette
But if this is your first, and with a time limit to boot, it's really good! Great job - and good luck and fun on your continuing journey :)
