I honestly don't like this game. I played it with a friend because I was interested, but the character design and story is not good. The graphics and GUI is funky, the jumpscares are lackluster, and the overall idea isn't very interesting. I wanted more from this game but didn't get much. The designs are just way too complicated and simple at the same time. It feels like a YBF ripoff trying to get the same clout that YBF had. I think the only thing I genuinely enjoyed were the laughs I had with some of the diologes.

Less go lolol
I got worried that I might have gotten a bunch of people mad since I was just being a bit more silly with my review then I should have.......
(I have the tism and didn't realize that saying it was a YBF rip-off can seem rude when it was just a correlation I saw between the two in the first place from a lot of the poses and such FNJSNFK)
Haha yeah, I get what you're saying about the correlation, and was prolly inspired by YBF, but usually using the words "rip-off" portrays it in a negative lighting which can feel like an attack to the people who enjoyed the game. In the end, it is just a silly lil goofy gaf game and none of this really matters lol!
No I do think so as well, I didn't mean that it didn't have any potential, it just doesn't feel like it is original in it's designs and dialogue!
I just didn't see anything on the comments that said anything that me, so I wanted to put out some of my opinions. I just didn't like the game since the endings are also pretty boring. (At least to me!)
As much as I like YBF, one could v easily argue that YBF is just "riding off the BTD clout". There's a big difference between being inspired by something and ripping something off. The yandere genre isn't new.
IT's totally valid if you don't like the game, but if youre gonna leave a criticism atleast offer suggestions for improvement instead of just white knighting for a different game.
A lot of yandere or stalking games are similar on basis especially if you just played a few or one.
I also think you got downvoted because you called it a ripoff and clout chasing and that can come off as rude regardless if you didn't meant it that way or said it "feels" doesn't change the fact that you called it that way.
I also know about both of those games (note on everyone: Inform yourself about the ybf dev) and i definitely don't see much correlation to call it that tbh. And i think a lot of fans in that genre do so too or else people would've mentioned it here more in the comments that they got the vibe from that game. Not saying that that would be something bad.
People also got in "That's not my neighbor", "Paper's please" vibes. And there is most likely inspiration taken game mechanic wise, which is not a bad thing either. But they still are different from each other and already have different premises etc. But people also there would be annoyed by people calling it ripoff without recognizing in what different direction both go style wise, story wise etc.
Point is it can come off as accusatory than review (saying what exactly you didn't prefer)
No hate just an observation.
The main reason why I said it seemed like a rip-off of the YBF game is the start screen (Both are very similar and use the same basic mechanics.) Similar poses such as the car scene, the cafe scene, and some others that I can't fully remember! Plus, you can name the Yandere character as well so it just didn't feel like it was an original, interesting idea. The character just feels like a copy of Peter, even the design feels like if you threw a yellow wig at Peter in some way. No offense to the creator in any way towards that, but as someone who creates character designs, game designs, and other things of that sort; I was mainly trying my best to say that I was disappointed with the demo. I want the creators to go and do something creative and insane, not something that everyone does. The introduction? I fucking loved the introduction, I love the mystery and confusion of the introduction for this, but it obviously could have been fixed.
Overall, my review was lazy, and just said in summary what I thought. It wasn't to be disrespectful or even mean. I do NOT like YBF either, as a survivor of SA/etc, it makes me uncomfortable that people still support the creator. The main reason why I would even say it felt like a clout chase is because YBF got popular and others wanted to ride that "Yandere Boy is insane and loves you game" stuff. I'm not even saying that it's bad to do that at all, I just still really want to have this game become more interesting and more put together. I want this game to genuinely draw me in and make me love Friend because right now, I don't care about Friend. It's just like every other white boy twink yandere boy I've ever seen and I want something new.
I hope this helps to understand what I mean by my correlation between YBF and See Thru!
I see a lot of potential in the game, I just want it to be better, everyone needs negative criticism sometimes, even if it may seem just rude. (I would word what I said way differently if I could, mainly since I don't want to seem disrespectful.)
YBF got popular and others wanted to ride that "Yandere Boy is insane and loves you game" stuff.
A start screen looking similar is also a bit of a funny thing to use as a way to compare it because trust me no one cares and you can also have the same start screen because you bought it from someone. If you played a lot of visual novels you will see similarities because again you can buy that from someone. And no one would play it more or less if a start screen looks similar lol
Again you don't really know much yandere content just go to the tag yandere. YBF is popular but they didn't create that trope lol there were many before that and during that time lol.
No idea is original nowadays and again if you actually play quite a few it's the same pattern.
Critic is one thing but again "I also think you got downvoted because you called it a ripoff and clout chasing and that can come off as rude regardless if you didn't meant it that way or said it "feels" doesn't change the fact that you called it that way."
Like you said your review was kinda lazy and accusatory.
Again just an observation intent doesn't equal output.
You don't need to justify whatever to me or get defensive i just gave you a reason why some people disliked you.
Anyways have a good one won't continue the convo further
