It seems like clicking on the glass kettles (with the black lid and silver knob on top) doesn't register? They're always the last thing I need, and I click them over and over as the timer runs out.

After you have collected the ingredients for a recipe, try dragging the kettle from the order to the kettle in the scene. It should light up and process the ingredients!
