Yeah you clearly don't seem upset at all, typing a term paper length reply and all. Time you could've spent with your family. If you had a look on the Steam discussion page for An English Haunting like you claim you had you should have seen that the top pinned post is from the developer explaining why there's a delay. So, the reason you asked your question here in the first place is also a waste of time. Again, sorry I ruined your day. Same to you, friend.
You seem like a very petty individual. I can't tell if you have an inferiority or a superiority complex judging by how you absolutely lost your shit after reading my first reply. A person with a sound and rational mind would've replied something along the lines of "nah, I prefer to own it on steam" and then left it there. But this sparked my interest so I'll bite. How will the next upcoming days be great for the both of us exactly?
Haha you truly are an unhinged person! You surprise me! That is kind of you, but no thanks. I do however appreciate the gesture. I bought the game here because I didn't wanna wait for the steam version. See how they create problems for indie devs with the verification screwing up? I have been locked out of my reddit account for a couple of months because I forgot the password and haven't bothered resetting it. I never use it anyway.
I'm always down to talk old school adventure games. After An English Haunting I'm thinking of revisiting the old Funcom classic The Longest Journey. Saw that it's available in GOG so I'm gonna pick that up next. Haven't played it for 20 years but I remember how much I loved it. I hope it's aged well.
Listen, if you're trying to scare me by having dug up a bunch of personal information about me or something (I assume that's what you mean by scrubbing online) then I'm sorry bud but It's pretty low on my list of things I give a flying F about right now. I'm prepping for chemo on Monday for my leukemia. Not bad enough to require a bone marrow transplant but still nervous AF. And I know its easy to find my contact information if someone really wanted to since I have several accounts where my addresses are visible because I deal a lot with heavy metal records, merchandise, musical instrument and other music related gear. So yeah... Not sure what you wanted go achieve with that.
Best wishes to you man. Also happy that you and Alk3 managed to sort things out. Steam works great for people who like its features, but I'm not one of those people, so I am VERY happy that An English Haunting is available at itch with an actual downloadable installer. Normally I shop at GOG, but lately I've been spending a lot more time here just because the ethics of itch seem better than pretty much anywhere else. All my best to everyone in this thread, and let's try and enjoy this cool-looking game!
