Great game. I did have a bug at the start where controls wouldn't work I reloaded a couple of times and it finally worked. How did you build the levels?  Did you use a software?

Thanks alot, friend ^^
Never nice to hear that controls are not working, but I'm glad it got to run on your browser! We really tried to make it as polished as time could offer, haha.
Actually making levels in Gdevelop is quite tricky I found. So I actually did have to use a third party software called Ldtk to make the rooms. Initializing the collision was simply draging some sprites over the tileset :D
How did you do it in your game? Is it all hand-placed in the engine?

No worries re the control issue. Had it before a few refreshes usually fixes it. just wanted to let other players know.

Yes the tiling feature of gdevelop is probably the thing holding it from being a real game engine. I was hoping they would have fixed that before going 3d. Godot and unity have an awesome feature. I am sure it will come soon enough.

I wanted to make a good Metroidvania but was looking for a good tileset/tiling software, so could scale it. I like LDTK, especially their auto tile feature. But like you said still have to manually add barriers. I managed to get through Tiled's tutorial and get their software to work and the collision map. But after spending way too long on figuring out their autotiling feature I couldn't get it to work with the collision map. Still a work in progress.

Yes this one was just done by hand. Faster for me to do it that way.
