yeah we had a number of scope issues, the small enemies was partially a stylistic choice that emerged from working in a full resolution pixel art style, and cutting a zoom feature because of programmer time. Yeah we definitely had a lot more we wanted to do, and even more was cut down fairly last minute because of bugs/programming delays.
Originally we wanted to have branches grow in all different kinds of directions and have different bonuses for different shapes, and a more dynamic economy with a root growing system.
Good new though, A large portion of the team is interested in making real game out of this idea so stay tuned!
