Good start to a tower defense, took me a little while to work out that I needed to purchase a branch before I could add defense creatures
I LOVE THE ENEMY DESIGNS!!!! SUPER CHARMING!~!!
It’s a game with a lot of heart! I’m always a big fan of tower defense games, and this one was a short and simple treat. One suggestion for after the jam; judging from the game icon the enemies are some cute little critters! Maybe make em big enough for me to see during regular gameplay hehe?
yeah we had a number of scope issues, the small enemies was partially a stylistic choice that emerged from working in a full resolution pixel art style, and cutting a zoom feature because of programmer time. Thanks for checking us out, and stay tuned if you're interested in a full game! We're currently organizing who's gonna work on the full game from the jam group.
Great concept for a game! I like the lazers those were pretty op at the start. At one point no more enemies came, but it was fun!
I like the slot based system, though it took me a bit to understand why the menu suddenly disappeared when i though i was just buying an upgrade. And the menu has a bug where it shows up too early when a wave is still going.
I don't know if it ended early or if there's just not a lot of waves, but there's lots of room for this to continue going.
Yeah we definitely had a lot more we wanted to do, and even more was cut down fairly last minute because of bugs/programming delays.
Originally we wanted to have branches grow in all different kinds of directions and have different bonuses for different shapes, and a more dynamic economy with a root growing system.
Good new though, A large portion of the team is interested in making real game out of this idea so stay tuned!
