Yup! HONK comes with 5 different characters to choose from! But it's also super easy to set one up with random pictures as long as you have a body and eyes (and you can grab the mouth shapes from one of the characters already included in the program so you don't have to design them!)

Hi hi Melon! There is an explanation right here in the documentation part of HONK's page, and if you want to be even more careful, you can .zip your folders first and export them back in the new version. I explained how to do this in this super quick tutorial. I hope this helps you!

That's awesome, thank you so much! <3

I am SO excited for this. Thank you so much for this update! I am super excited to see GIFs coming to HONK! Please take care of yourself <3

For those who have the Eyes Going out of their sockets issue:

I have been testing a way around this really annoying bug (for us artists who use HONK while streaming, we use CTRL+Z OFTEN. This is why the eyes bug out. All. The. time.)

I know it gets some getting used to, but until a fix is done for this, I've assigned my CTRL+Z to SHIFT+Z instead. My model hasn't had any issues since then. I hope it helps some of you as well!

Yeah same! Thanks for confirming that bug. It's pretty annoying! I love HONK but this bug kills it so much for artists.

Oh so THAT'S what causing it. Well, that's super unfortunate, I also am an artist and my model breaks almost every time I stream since CTRL+Z is used super frequently.

I've even re-created the model's layers (there are a lot, with different emotes/emotions, too) and kept the same resolution for all of them (500x800 for example) so I wouldn't have to manually move them on the canvas. Turns out that didn't help, the eyes keep going out of the boundary, and pieces keep 'disconnecting' from the body.  The only fix is to recreate the model with the 5 different emotions, which takes forever.

Do we know when the next bug fixes batch is going to arrive? I absolutely LOVE HONK but it's getting tedious to have to re-rig the model every other day.

Booted up HONK this morning and my layers are not aligned anymore. I didn't change anything from the last time I used it. And all of my emotes are showing at once, too. (only have two right now, neutral and excited.) It's like the settings were forgotten somehow.

Oh that's awesome! Thanks for letting me know! I'll try resizing the character. :D

Yup! the folder is enough! I made a super quick tutorial about it here :D It'll be all rigged and everything.

Hi hi! I think it was mentioned a few posts back that it was not possible to resize images in different layers within HONK. Do you think that would be a feature worth adding?

Also what I'm looking for specifically is a rotate option, where we can adjust different layers to look better (ie: importing another character's mouth onto a new one, just for the sake of time-saving, but it's not necessarily the same size and angle and there's no way to do that aside from editing all of the mouth shapes in editing software.)

Hey hey!

When I import my character's layers into HONK, there seems to be an outline around the layers that is not supposed to be there.

The reason why I'm importing in several layers is that most of them are assigned to follow my cursor so that it looks even more animated. But yeah, this outline is not supposed to be there. I've included a side-by-side comparison.

Thanks!
