The initial plan was, as you said, have some girls sharing the laundry room, that is why the fist text says "today the girl who will...", but unfortunately one girl was all I could do within the time limit ><'

Yes, you're doing it correctly. Try to press right and left at same time, it should register both entries (at least I tried it in two different machines). But I changed both values to 25, I hope you can win it now :)

(Yes, I can reach 40, but just after 2 or 3 tries xD)

Can you please tell me what was your best score for me to think of a not so hard score to achieve?
