Uwa! So speed!

Very neat idea! It seems like even through this short little concept game there's opportunities for lots of different builds!

This game is pretty great! The humor in the first cutscene was super good, I love the aesthetic of the low-poly world that feels unique but also very much like the standard sort of "i'm in hacker voice" stuff you'd see in the movies. I found a weird movement mechanic that lets you rocket yourself forward and to be honest it felt really satisfying to do! I feel like I may not have enjoyed myself as much without that quick movement option. How dare you make me play as a cryptobro though

I've been working through the Anthology and finding myself repeatedly enchanted by your witty, odd prose, your iconic visual style, and the beauty of watching the game's scope continue to grow and change with each entry. You are an inspiration and an auteur.

While I think the weapon mechanic was good, I did run into a couple problems while playing the game. Firstly, at the tutorial, I used all the swords given to me to hit the dummy, so when I entered the first stage, I didn't have a weapon to use. Because of this, my only option was to repeatedly dash through the stage, which didn't feel like a good introduction to your game. You were good about giving the player weapons for the other levels, it just feels like the first level was a bit of an oversight.

Secondly, I don't think the option for a fast movement option is exactly necessary or even good here - several times I would accidentally start to dash, and then when I used a sword slice, I would move so far ahead that I would have to backtrack to grab the sword. Sometimes it felt unaccounted for and annoying.

That being said, I adore the art. Jack McGee is one of my favorite artists on Twitter and it was cool to see his art in a video game.
