GOSSIP works with Asian language fonts as the underlying system (Scribble) allows for such. A hurdle I had in getting set up properly was getting these characters to be properly read and rendered by Gamemaker directly, and that involves some steps.

Make sure you’ve created an appropriate texture page with all the characters needed, set up the font in Gamemaker to use those characters and of course use a compatible font. I’m using “NOTOSANSJP”.

No worries! Never hurts to ask! :D Have a dope day!

Hello Foxy!

First, can’t praise your work enough! This is a great asset & really has helped me solve some hurdles for my own game.

Second, and the main meat of this message, just wanted to suggest a slight enhancement to your layers system Would it be possible to instead of focusing on a layer ID, could effects be implemented based off depth as well? Ideally, I think having both available would just increase the flexibility of this amazing asset package you have here, but I lack the expertise to know if this would be too much of a pain in the butt to accomplish.

In any regard, this is just some thoughts I’ve had recently using your layers system, please take it with a grain of salt! XD

Thanks again for your dope work! -Abstract the Origin

The art you did here was fantastic for such a short amount of time! My hats off to you as always!

Finished this and it’s a good game! Solid design, and fairly chill as well. This is great to just relax and zone out while collecting materials and resurrecting the populace.

Hello, Brainfoam!

First off, thank you for creating and releasing this amazing dialogue engine! It works really well!

I come seeking guidance. Can you provide an example on how to execute code via the Command Column inside dialogue spreadsheets? I’m not a deeply experienced programmer (I dabble) and I’ve tried a few methods to try and do something simple as set a flag to a different status (turn “x” flag from false to true for example). I’ve read your documentation and the Scribble documentation over for 5 hours to try and figure this out, but I may just lack the experience necessary to figure out this part (the rest of this, I’ve implemented and it’s working fine).

I appreciate any assistance you can provide and appreciate your time. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you so much, Baz! I plan to!

Hey! Thank you so much for checking this out! Yeah, I can’t wait to get the rest of the guns programmed in! I’ve been debating on if I should add a stamina bar in the early phases, but they’re tricky to implement without impacting the fun factor. So, we shall see.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Really enjoyed this one! Gameplay is solid. Shooting with the mouse was great. :D

This is a really good Puzzle game!

Yeah, I never really liked that mechanic of older games (taking health for special moves). I get the "why" of it, I just don't agree with it. lol

Glad you enjoyed this!

Thank you for trying this out! Much appreciated!

Windows 10 1909 here and can confirm it works.

I've seen Microsoft screw up the Visual Studio Library installation; which at one time required me to reinstall everything from scratch and move some files manually.

Here's the links to everything needed to play this game (works for me).

Thank you very much for the answer! I'll be buying your catalog. :)

Hello! Are these tiles 16x16?

So far, so good! Really enjoying the demo! The dialogue to me is fairly realistic and representative of our times.
