I got you covered fam

No, as there is really no buying this game on itch as it was free in the first place.

As for donations, it likely won't happen.

See the dev blog for info on the game

It is not dev's fault that the game isn't downloading. Either it's your browser, internet connection or the itch servers that cause the download to fail. It's in no way your computer's fault. The download isn't working as planned nor the dev's fault. I'm literally in the middle of nowhere right now on vacation and there is basicly no cellular connection out here and our wifi is poor AF too. Yet still, I manage to download the game in a few minutes, no issues. What so ever. The issue lies with either you or Itch.io, not the devs as they're not the ones managing the downloads, that's Itch.io.

What are your specs?

There is no greenlight page or product page at the moment. They will notify us here on Itch when it will be added to Steam, because there has been people copying Raft and trying to get it on Steam. Just stick to the blog on Itch. They'll update us about the game here and here only, until release on Steam.

Can't you just download it here?

No it's not, just see the devblog on their links page. Gosh is it that hard to do some research?

I would suggest getting an Intel i5

A Graphics card from at least the 700 series

and getting 8 gb ram.

All of these items are budget and you can expect a good experience in other games as well. As for Raft, the game is not optimized very well, so it will still lag a bit compared to most games out there.

When the next update is released, it will be on steam

See the dev blog for information. They have been updating us about the game four times . Geez, how hard is it to do some research

To optimize to the water in 1.5 you guys should try and do what Planet Coaster has done. Make the water 2 planes, one above the other. Then give them a reflection map and a water texture, below the water let there simply be nothing. The game is only rendering those to flat surfaces and their textures. Then you have good looking water with barely any lag.

Here is what water looks like in planet coaster and it causes no lag.

Billedresultat for planet coaster water ultra

That's likely some anti-malware program you have not allowing you to. try disabling it

For the night mode coming in 1.0.5

you could make the players fatigue run out much faster because the water is cold, which will eventualy lead to the player drowning quickly at night

Its likely not the games fault, as everyone I've seen including myself playing raft, has been able to play it at 1080p

also 1024x768 is an odd monitor resolution. It's likely that 1024x768 isn't a resolution supported by the game.

EDIT: Just checked up on it, 1024x768 is not a resolution the game supports

Raft Soundtrack | "One In The Ocean 2.0" | UPDATED

Hello, This is simply a reminder to the Raft about the soundtrack I made a while ago. It has been updated and it is now a bit longer, and has some touch ups and cleaned up notes. I am not yet sure, if this will be the final version of this soundtrack, but I have enjoyed making it so far. Here is version 2.0 of "One In The Ocean"

(CLICK) "One In the Ocean" Soundcloud - The Crying Squid

As always please give me feedback on the stuff I make (I once uploaded videos to YT, now I spend my time making games and music)

Your PC is very bad and way too slow to run a game like raft.

When do you guys expect the next update to be out??? If you don't know, how far are you at least?

Don't get a Mac, It's that simple. That includes any kind of situation, regarding gaming.

The game has a save feature but you obviously have to save the game in order to load it again, which you didn't because it crashed.

Use the hook you start off with to get items. That's how you're supposed to get items at first, not by jumping into the water.

NOTICE ME RAFT TEAM - MADE SOUNDTRACK - My christmas present to the raft team :)

Hey Raft team. Do you mind if I made a short soundtrack for the main menu of Raft? There might be a bit of distortion in the track from exporting but tell me what ya think :) https://soundcloud.com/the-crying-squid/sets/raft-o....

It's called "One In The Ocean" and it is supposed to sound kind of like this endless feeling of being alone. It is made in such a way that it is easily loopable while still sounding good (in my opinion) Also if you do end up liking the soundtrack, please let me know if there are any other ways I can help you make art/music for the game, and how i would contact you :)

What are your pc specs?

Things I think should be added/changed for next update

ADD:
  • "Metal Box" A small storage box/safe made out of 4 scrap, with 4 slots for storage.
  • "Wooden Crate" A large crate made out of 5 planks and 1 rope with 9 slots.
  • "Railing" A piece of fence 1/3 of a wall's height placed on the edge of high floors to avoid falling and acts as a safe way to look over the edge without limited view.

CHANGE:

  • Scrap spawns too frequently, lower rate at which scrap spawns.
  • Change shark attacking base sound, to something louder which can more easily be heard. It can be difficult to tell when a shark is attacking and suddenly a part is gone.
  • Item nets will work completely differently to add challenge. They are now set up via an Item net frame which you place down. Then you craft a net out of rope and place the net inside the frame. Over time the net will get worn out and you will need to make a new net and place in the frame to keep gathering.

Since I don't know your laptops specs, I can't tell you if your laptop is good or bad. But the issue with laptops, is that most componenst like graphics card, gpu, ram etc. is all underclocked (lowered in performance) to save battery and to avoid overheating.

To solve this issue and make your laptop run faster is to: rightclick on the bottom right battery icon and press "battery usage". This will bring up a menu in which you select your power options (how much energy you want the battery to use for higher performance). The option is normally hidden. Next to the options, press the little arrow to expand the menu and select "High performance" Gratz your computer now runs faster and smooth in games, but uses more power. Just plug it in the charger and you're welcome :)

  • The things listed above are not requirements but mere recommendations for what can make its way into the game.Pls reply and let me know what you have in plans, or at least what you are currently implementing. Enjoy developing :)
