If this doesn’t work try: sudo xattr -c /Applications/CoQ.app  https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253714860 couldn’t get 1.0 to work until i tried this. maybe the quarantine didn’t work for me because i still have an old version of the game going?

Had this problem but was able to get it to work by switching to the admin account and holding  the control key and clicking  on the CoQ icon to open the menu and and then clicking ‘open’.
