your name looks familiar...

it sure does

Love the switching between the characters with their own mechanics! If only there was a boss fight between the lecturers at the ending 🙃

I did not expect the dialogue after getting defeated by the hare, 10/10 storyline and attention to detail. Too bad there ain't no category for narrative.

Though the game is simple I gotta agree this is probably the most polished game out of all the other ones, I like how you actually have to use the box to go progress through the levels so it's not just some ordinary get it from A to B type game.

Love the endless and replayability aspect of this game, plus there's a ton of weapons and the movement's real good!

I love the switching mechanic especially how you use the roach to view really small stuff, and also the part where you have to drag the rock as the princess. Honestly I can see this being an actual game with more work put into it!

(I just realised that my review didn't go through so I'll repost the gist of it here)

This is a game jam game, so I won't really comment about the aesthetics but more on the gameplay.

Gameplay-wise, I like the concept of escaping the randomly-generated maze, which allows for replayability. The addition of the timer and rising water levels gives a sense of urgency and the need to escape the ship as fast as possible. However, I feel that the water level could rise a bit slower, because you only have a 10 second or so leeway before the water level reaches the ceiling and once that happens, you will most likely die unless in range to stairs/a hole that leads to the next floor, so a slower water rise would give the player a bit more breathing room.

Other mechanics such as the fire/obstructions are alright. The only other gripe I have is that the UI could be clearer as Gekido said, as I first found myself clicking on the right 'console' element on the title screen thinking it would do something.

All in all I love the random maps on every playthrough! Maybe if you guys wanna build upon the game in the future it could be focused on speedrunning.
