This has been one of the most touching game experiences I've had. I can't think of a better example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.
Besides the outstanding visual and musical approach (I love how you materialize this "deconstruction" of your own world through a rasterized, jittery pixel and a downsampled, bitcrushed wave), your focus on the player experience (the horizon of expectations, particularly) is so accomplished, and I believe it works wonderfully to convey this cycle of kindling that you're talking of.
Thank you so much for this experience ompuco, this has been so inspiring. Art is worth living for.
Such a fun and complete game for a 48h jam. The concept itself is really simple (rerolling a dice) but the polish and design is on point. The only thing I'm not so fan of are the healer enemies, they heal so much (and if you're not lucky with the shop rolls then you're gonna have some trouble dealing with them). But overall, it's a great game, congratulations!
This was so much fun! So far one of my favourite games. The concept and execution was spot on, and the music really helped create a chill atmosphere. Perhaps if there were additional ways to move the pan or another object controlling it would help the player get the results they need (especially when there are more dice).
Really liked the visual approach and the narrative elements (although I feel like I didn't understand all of it?). Figuring out how to mess with the numbers in the first level was really fun but after that I honestly started rolling randomly until I got the result I needed. The music is also really cool and the fact that it changes with each level while maintaining some aspects works wonderfully. Great job!
