I have tried various fullscreen numbers without success (I had to use this trick to get back fullscreen res after running on goggles) but the only number that makes a dif is 0 which appears split across middle of two screens - am I missing something as wont to have a shortcut the makes it appear on 3 (my goggles when connected) without having to disable screens and move windows around?

The Phantom app itself has a simulator built in although never used it - you click on the tutorial icon at the top of the page on DjiGo app.
Freerider is not an app to mimic the Phantom since that is so autonomous and has a gyro stablised camera so I don't think there is any value here as you wont get any feel for a Phantom compared to this.
Hi, managed to get it working - and this is what happned for anyone else with this problem:
Whilst I dont have that software installed I do have an X52 joystick that I had already tried disconnected (and doesn't have software for it currently installed) to uninstall - this had not made any difference.
However - by removing the device from device manager first before disconnecting it physically (there is nothing to see to remove once it is disconnected) - the problem seemed to resolve itself on removing the joystick this time around.
Now to find the best settings for mimicing a Vortex Pro :D
Firstly dead zones is not enabled. Taranis TX with USB connection.
Calibration screen shows all the right responses to the various sticks but when done it shows my pitch stick being 20% lower than centre, it then wont detect any movement in pitch until stick gets away from the centre far enough to suddenly jump to 20% above. Trim on TX has same effect with no change until suddenly jumps above. Using the sliders ingame I can centre it but then it all goes out of whack as now will go out the box at the top and not reach the bottom of the box for backwards pitch. Still has an area of no response aswell so in game just flips forward and back around centre.
Other sims work fine with same model settings (50 range, 50 offset as per guide) and can actually change my ranges to make centre position elsewhere in stick movement with same results meaning its def not hardware related.
