Recommended controller settings to mimic flight of Phantom

Hey FPV Community!

I'm teaching a class to 7 students 13-18 years old. We're using FreeRider as an introduction to flying. What's the easiest settings to fly to mimic that of a Phantom? I know it's a totally different operation, but want them to get a sense of flying before they take control of an expensive rig. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Not sure since I haven't flown a Phantom myself.

Generally when starting out as a beginner I think it's a good idea to start off with a rather sluggish setting (such as the default setting in Freerider), and also to have auto leveling selected to make it a bit less frustrating. When they start to get the hang of it you can always select a more agile setting (such as the Snappy preset). If they can fly on the Snappy preset setting in Freerider I think it will be fairly easy to adapt to any other quadcopter since the basics are pretty much the same.

Hopefully someone who has experience flying a Phantom will be able to share an appropriate setting to mimic the feel of the real thing.

The Phantom app itself has a simulator built in although never used it - you click on the tutorial icon at the top of the page on DjiGo app.

Freerider is not an app to mimic the Phantom since that is so autonomous and has a gyro stablised camera so I don't think there is any value here as you wont get any feel for a Phantom compared to this.
