I'm excited to share a pawsome update for Cathletes Of Olympia! 🎉 Get ready to unleash your inner Olympian because I'm bringing two thrilling new sports to the game: Long Jump and Sprint Hurdles! 🏃‍♀️🐱🏅

What’s New? 🆕

🏅 Long Jump:

Take to the air with the new Long Jump event! See how far you can make your kitty leap as they soar through the sky. Will your cat’s training pay off, or will they belly flop?

🏃 Sprint Hurdles:

Test your paws in the fast-paced Sprint Hurdles! Dash through barriers and demonstrate your agility. Timing is everything – can you master the art of the hurdle?

🎮gd.games Log In:

Sick of typing in your username over and over again? If you are logged in with gd.games the game will automatically fill in your account's username into the leaderboard's username text box. (You can log through the in-game settings found by clicking the gear icon. Logging in is completely optional. )  

Introducing New Beta Feature! 🌟

I've also rolled out a beta feature allowing you to equip special items that buff your cat’s stats! Customize your Cathlete’s capabilities and watch them shine in their performances. The right gear can make all the difference!

Hey there! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! You're right, it's confusing not knowing about the dash ability before the race and the ability to restart is very important too. So, I’ve decided to follow your recommendation and add these controls to the game’s description.

I'll also look into the Oly Cat training bug and the lack of tuna issue. As core gameplay mechanics those are definitely problems that need fixing.

You’re also right about the ability to go left. I designed the controls before I fine-tuned the way the game should be played. This resulted in a control that served no purpose in the game. Even though I plan to remove the left control entirely I still plan add a wall on the left side just in case.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game though, and I'm certainly taking your suggestions seriously! I'm excited to get these things fixed in the post-jam update.

I've been working hard to bring you a smoother, more enjoyable feline adventure. Here's what will change:

New Features:

Main Menu Bliss:
Escape the training grounds at any time! Now you can return to the main menu from Oly Cat training, so you can take a break or explore other options.

Musical Delight:
Get ready to groove! I've added catchy music to the main menu and Oly Cat training, making your journey even more immersive.

Settings for Your Purrfect Experience: Customize your game with new settings! Adjust your gaming preferences and personalize your experience.

Mobile Dashing:
Now you can unleash the power of the dash on mobile devices, making your gameplay even more exciting and dynamic!

Improvements:

Dashing with Style:
Watch your cat zoom across the screen with style! Their animation now speeds up when they dash, giving you a truly satisfying experience.

Going Right, Only Right:
I've removed the ability to go left, focusing your attention on a streamlined, forward-facing journey. (Thanks for the suggestion IvChill!)

Release date:

This version of the game will be released right after the end of the Black Cat Jam.

Here's the deal on getting faster:

Every time you cross that finish line, you'll snag some tuna. Use that tuna to level up your speed by hitting the 'Oly Cat Training' button on the main menu.

Let me know if you spot any other glitches, I'll fix 'em up when the jam's done!
