I think you should tell the player that they can dash with E before the race starts.
My score was 4.930
When i enter the oly cat training i get stuck and have to reload, also i didn't get any tuna after the race.
If you go left you can actually fall into the void since there isn't any invisible wall that way, and while we are at it, why can we go left? There's no point in going that direction so you shouldn't allow the player to go there.
You also didn't tell the player that they can restart with the R key.
Good job anyway, it's a fun little game.
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it! You're right, it's confusing not knowing about the dash ability before the race and the ability to restart is very important too. So, I’ve decided to follow your recommendation and add these controls to the game’s description.
I'll also look into the Oly Cat training bug and the lack of tuna issue. As core gameplay mechanics those are definitely problems that need fixing.
You’re also right about the ability to go left. I designed the controls before I fine-tuned the way the game should be played. This resulted in a control that served no purpose in the game. Even though I plan to remove the left control entirely I still plan add a wall on the left side just in case.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game though, and I'm certainly taking your suggestions seriously! I'm excited to get these things fixed in the post-jam update.

Here's the deal on getting faster:
Every time you cross that finish line, you'll snag some tuna. Use that tuna to level up your speed by hitting the 'Oly Cat Training' button on the main menu.
Let me know if you spot any other glitches, I'll fix 'em up when the jam's done!
Now go out there and crush my score! 🏅 Show those other catletes what you're made of!
