Thanks! Haha yeah, we were thinking about that :D The resolution might be a bit small for that, but it could be a thing for a sequel.

I can't reproduce this, can we connect somewhere outside of the comments for faster communication? Join our Discord maybe? Link is on this page.

That’s one for a sequel/next game :)

Which OS is that? I will take a look.

Small edit: Looks like you have an old account with an email address still. There was a bug in 2.0.1.2 that prevented email login and that is so far only fixed in the Windows version (2.0.1.3). Other versions will follow soon.

Hey there, glad you enjoy it! As for the login, are you using the itch app? You need to in order to be able to log in (the game can only get the authorization through the app). Leaderboard entries will only upload after you log in.

Super happy to hear that!

Update: Looks like that's already how it works with the big charity bundles anyways, so yes, every direct purchase will be able to get a Steam key as well. More info when we drop the update here.

Hey guys, we’re looking into this. We’d like to give keys to people who bought the game directly, early supporters as you said, but not to everybody who bought the bundle (I don’t think that would even be possible considering the ridiculous number of purchases there). We’ll share as soon as we know.

There’s no real balance to the game so it’s hard to say what’s a good score - but loop 7 is pretty far and around the point where the game starts getting difficult 👌🏻

Thanks! Yeah, there’s not much there in terms of stage design, very quickly cobbled together :)

Fair point, I’ll add some UI explanation (when I get around to it😅).

It’s on bbs 👍🏻

Loving the upgrade system in Arcade mode, especially introducing the option for a late easy mode with the bullet cancel upgrade, genius idea!

I'm totally digging this concept - every single mistake you make in a "run" will be on screen to haunt you forever. This has potential to be expanded upon and turn into a great addictive action-puzzle thingie!

Oh wow, I love that artstyle! Super smooth stuff! And yes, 128 pixels was too much anyways :D

Beautiful designs and progression concept!

Thanks! It’s infinite, but after loop… 12 or so all the variation is exhausted and it will forever be the last wave, so not much fun playing beyond that. Very much just a prototype this.

Fantastic game! Love the artstyle and range of patterns.
Is crazing only for score or does it influence e.g. gaining bombs?

Thanks. There is a lot of trickery going on to keep the token count in check, mainly splitting strings. Feel free to check out the code at the bbs.

Genius ending :D

This is so good. Seeing the constant improvements was a blast!

I've posted schildm8 to bbs as well, feel free to check it out: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=4888

thank you so much for the clarification.

I’ve got smooth “login with itch” functionality going on the game now, very happy!

I got it to work. Thanks for the help and sorry for the confusion!

If anybody stumbles upon this with the same issue: The environment variables set by the itch app are not supposed to show up outside of the process.

Testers with my game, yes. Just wanted to make sure it's not an issue with my machine.
Are the environment variables supposed to be exclusive to the process and thus not visible through, say, the Windows command prompt? In that case I have been approaching the whole process in the wrong way (treated the evnironment variables as a global thing).

App logs say: Environment variables passed: TMP, TEMP, ITCHIO_API_KEY, ITCHIO_API_KEY_EXPIRES_AT
But neither a

SET

 in cmd nor a

Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("ITCHIO_API_KEY")

in C# show anything. Had a couple of testers confirm, same behavior for everybody. The app log also say the TMP and TEMP env vars should be changed, but they are not.

I'm not getting the itch api key (and expiration) environment variables, tested on two Windows machines running app version 25.5.1 with manifest file :

[[actions]]
name = "play"
path = "xxx.exe"
scope = "profile:me"

Am I missing something or is this a current bug?

Mac version will be there from the beginning 👍🏻

If your machine is not too old it should be able to handle it.

Just a test

I sent you a DM on Twitter, thanks a lot :)

Also not getting the notifications, so excuse my late response as well :)
Yeah, I'd gladly utilize that build! I'm on Windows.

BlastFX community · Created a new topic Lifetime + Duration

Not sure if this is a bug or I am misunderstanding:

Added emitter with duration 1 and lifetime 3 (default), all good. When unchecking repeat and changing the duration to say 5 seconds, the emitter will still stop after 3 seconds. Any duration longer than lifetime will be ignored. Is this by design? If so, how can I build an emitter that is emitting longer than its particles' lifetime?

Cheers and keep up the good work!

I just tried this: Since you can use custom textures you can just use one of those as a reference and/or render it with the output.
