This is really cool! I love the way you did the combo graphics! Really great idea and I love the customizable characters. It really adds to the charm :)

Wow really different - The sounds really sell the western theme really well.

.. and ofcourse I played as Lil Nas X

Thank you!  The music was one of the hardest things for me but I'm very happy with how it turned out.  The sound on the revolver spinning went through a ton of iterations too.  Recreating a known sound in pico8 is really tough!

I'm totally digging this concept - every single mistake you make in a "run" will be on screen to haunt you forever. This has potential to be expanded upon and turn into a great addictive action-puzzle thingie!

Thanks!  Yeah, I'd love to revisit the game and add some more tumbleweed variety and power-ups.  I'm glad the concept landed well with you.

This was fun and challenging in equal measure. I love the info page about the tumbleweeds at the start and the character selection screen was great too. Art style was accurately wild west-y (I should know, I'm a time-traveling cowboy) Long live Barrel Guy! The recoil/aim mechanic is very clever.

One sentence review:
You had me at "Tactical Environmentalist Action"

Tumbleweeds are iconic in films but they're also an ecological menace.  Thanks for playing!  Glad you enjoyed it.

Very different kind of submission! Pretty fun for a while but it begins to get old fairly quickly.

Thank you!  Yeah, only having the one level and enemy type means there's not much changing.  I'd love to revisit it and flesh out some of those areas more.
