Damn, such a great game! A really smart idea twisted and extended in so many different directions. I loved all the secret hunting, in particular. A perfect chill Sunday sort of game!

High praise indeed, thank you so much 💜

Thanks so much for the kind words, I'm really glad you are enjoying it!

well thank you! Glad you like it

Thanks so much for giving this info for other players, it's really appreciated  💜

Hi there. I know this is very late, but I'll put the explanation here for others! We're not directly supporting that route, Steam Deck via Itch. What I can say is that the steam_appid.txt file is what should stop the game attempting to connect to steam - if detected where the executable runs (i.e. in the same folder) and with the value inside it present. I'm not sure how that interacts with Proton, I'm afraid, but it might be worth looking at where Proton thinks it is running and ensuring the file is in the same place!

Hi! Thanks for trying the game, and the kind words! The enemy bullets only damage you if they hit your 'turret' - the little triangle part. Hope that helps!

Hi, thanks for letting us know! We're not currently directly supporting Linux, unfortunately, so I don't have a workaround to suggest. The game will save automatically when you quit, however, if that helps!

Thanks for the shout-out! Very interesting puzzle idea, and a surprising amount of puzzle in such a small space!

If it is the room I'm thinking of, look to the edges! Otherwise, there are some playthroughs of the Prologue online which might help!

Thanks for the comment, and for playing the demo. This is part of the reason we were keen to release a demo, so people could get an idea of what the game was before buying it, to help ensure they'd like it before spending their money. I can't speak for my next puzzle game - but it sounds like you aren't a fan of the types of games I like to play or design. I hope you find a game more to your liking!

Hey there, just picked this up and am really enjoying playing around with it. Hoping to use it in a new prototype, so thanks for making it!

Just found a couple of small bugs in the latest build that I'm not sure if you're aware of: when using WASD to scroll the view, S moves down+right, and D doesn't seem move the view at all. Arrow keys are working fine, however. Also, when you ctrl+z to undo, it resets the selected colour to the first one in the palette rather than staying with what you previously had selected.

(While I'm here, the ability to draw 45 degree diagonal lines with the line tool would be a super awesome addition, but happy to put that somewhere else if you have a standard feature request process!)

well done, that puzzle is a tricky one! but yes, that is the last bit of the demo – the full game has all unique puzzles and more secrets to find!

Thanks, I'm really glad to hear that you liked it! At the moment SOLAS 128 is in the Summer Sales if you do want to pick it up for 34% off!

Thanks for your comment! As it goes, the neon depths of the demo and the main game are entirely hand-crafted by myself!

As for what the E *means* however... well, you'll have to complete the full game to find out 🤔

🤔

Thanks so much 💜

Hi there, sorry to hear you had issues with the visual effects. If it helps, almost every effect can be turned down or off in the settings menu if you'd like! The Accessibility Update dev log has more details!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it 💜

Thank you 💜

Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! (If you want to pick it up sometime, the full game gets *wild* by the way)

Thanks very much for the kind words, I'm glad to hear you liked it! (And well done for finding the secret letter too – there are more hidden in the full game!)

Hey there! No, we've not giving out Steam keys with an itch purchase. If you'd like it on Steam, we also have it on sale there too at the moment, though!

Thanks so much for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it! The [?] button will give you some hints if you need them, too. (oh, and you didn't hear it from me, but there are some walkthroughs out there if you want more help too)

Thanks so much, really happy that you enjoyed it!

Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! The secret mode gets really intense, but I really like playing it!

Thanks so much, I'm delighted that you enjoyed it!

(Personally I get most annoyed at the squares... wiggly so-and-sos!)

Thanks very much! It was fun to work on, and I'd love to do more with it when I get some time. It was at least partially inspired by mono by Binary Zoo, which is more of a twin-stick shooter... so you might be interested to check that out! https://www.binaryzoo.com/mono_page/

Thanks! 💜

Ah, glad to hear you found a workaround. Thanks for letting me know!

Hi there, sorry you've having issues, but I have little control over the downloading or claiming mechanism aside from setting the price! I got a couple of people to check today and they were able to claim it. Perhaps itch.io was being overloaded when you tried? All I can recommend is to try again, or ask itch.io support if it still doesn't work. Good luck!

Thanks for letting me know! It's hard for me to debug at my end though, as it's working in all the modern browsers I have! For now, I'd recommend downloading it if you want to give it a try! It runs better that way in any case :)

Huh, that's interesting! I wonder why...

Thanks for the kind words and for letting me know though!

Nice, this is a really interesting little puzzle game that I hope to see developed further in the future! I would happily play a couple dozen more levels :D

A very interesting, experimental little puzzle game! I really enjoyed it, even if The Second Door did take me an embarrassingly long time to figure out...

Thank you for your comment! I'm glad HJEM inspired you. I'd love to put it on an Arcade machine, too!

As for a 'hard drop', I think if/when we make a bigger version of HJEM, we would definitely put that feature in!

Thank you for the feedback, and for making a very entertaining video about the game! HJEM was made in 48 hours for #GGJ19 as an experiment. In the future we hope to experiment more and perhaps make a bigger version. Glad you enjoyed it, and hope that you get to hear/play the next level sometime soon!
