Thanks for the play and the feedback :)

To answer your question, there are two end states to a level; if you destroy the ship or if you survive all of its attacks.

There is a progress bar at the top of the screen, but upon play testing people didn’t seem to notice it lol

so we’re planning to make that more apparent in future updates 👍

EDIT: I FORGOT TO PACKAGE SOME .dll FILES ON THE FIRST UPLOAD! :(((

I've been informed that on some windows computers the game does not work because it was incorrectly packaged.

I promise we did not make any changes to the game, this is just a repackaged version that doesn't crash on windows! DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION INSTEAD IF THE PRIMARY DOWNLOAD CRASHED ON WINDOWS:

Gameplay trailer!

(in the comments B/C for some reason the 'embed game trailer' function in the edit game page tab isn't working lol)

I personally found lua & love2d easier to learn and simpler to use than Python (which is really saying something lmao 😂)

The one thing I would recommend though, is to use the class library from https://github.com/jonstoler/class.lua. (since lua doesn't come with natively built in "classes" the same way other languages do)

Thanks for the play and the kind comment!

Im glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the play!

Thanks for the feedback! Amongst other updates, in future versions we are planning to make the shooting more intelligent :)

gameplay trailer -

(skip to 2:45 to see the most action)

Roll of the Dice is an endless top-down game where you maneuver a poker chip to avoid getting hit by cards. The game gets harder as you progress, but the difficulty is mostly dictated by the dice. Periodically, a roll will occur that will land a difficulty between 1-6, but if you don't like the roll that you got you can try to chase down a die for another chance.

the game does get harder over time, just not at a rate that is very noticeable. The cards do more damage over time, move faster and spawn more often.

also thx for the play :)
