This zine is awesome! I didn't grow up with this game, having just played it for the first time recently. The art and writing captured the game beautifully. :') It's great to see even niche games have dedicated fandoms.

I linked to the zine in my review of the game!

WAAAH thank you so much!! <3

Ham-ha! I really enjoyed this cute, little game. My favorite part overall is that you took a human, "mundane" experience such as using the meat before it goes bad and turning it into a little adventure. I love when narratives romanticize the cozy, average moments in life because those are the moments that we as average people experience the most. That's the appeal of 'cottagecore' LOL. Though Stew Quest captures a quaint feeling beyond just aesthetic.

There were other moments that reinforce this average narrative such as Ms. MC commenting on the pile of clothes that she needs to donate which was relatable to me as someone who ALSO has a box of unsorted clothes to donate. 🤣 I appreciated that these moments of cozy, mundanity were complimented by MC’s quirky commentary and (hopefully) larger than life moments such as stealing the neighbors potatoes and garden key. Breaking and entering is truly a staple of RPGs of any kind, so it was a much appreciated balance.

The extras room at the end of the game was a unique way to show your thoughts on the game. It’s a very cool idea! I agree that having the MC be silent wouldn’t have worked for this game. Her humor and silly quips were what gave the game its charm. The mechanics, music, and tileset supported MC rather than carrying the experience on their own. I really loved the brown-toned tiles and music! It was so cozy~!

Overall, I loved how you reframed a simple quest about a daily task into an adventure, or rather a ‘Stew-venture.’ Great work!!

Thank you so much! I love your music and can't wait to see what you do next. :)

Hey, Nora! I was surprised you took it down, but I'm happy to work on the new project with you again. :) It's a cute story!

AWWW THIS IS SO SWEET. I LOVE IT! Thanks so much!

Idk if you figured it out yet, but you have to define who the main character is in the 'PhoneTexting.rpy' file. This is the line you have to edit.

> define MC_Name = "Nighten" ##The name of the main character, used to place them on the screen

Change this to the name of your main character and make sure it matches what you have in your main script file!

I used this in my game! :D It's amazing, simple, and easy to customize. Thanks so much!

I am so glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

I'm a big fan of Dangaronpa, and those games are pretty heavy for sure! 😅

Hi again. I just wanted to let you know that I used all of these tracks in my newest game which I just published for the public today. :) They are amazing, and I programmed them into my game the same day you released them.

I am in a game design program at my school, and a few of my peers played the game with your music. Every single person who played commented on how cool the music was! I just wanted to let you know <3

These tracks are AMAZING!! I can't wait to see more of your work. :)

Your work is really good! You should consider charging too. :)

Amazing tracks! I can't wait to see more of your work. :)

This is an incredibly inventive therapy tool T__T I appreciate that this exists.

Cute game! I really appreciate the simple graphics and the surrounding area is really cute. However, I wasn't able to play the game because whenever I moved the camera, it would blur and skip frames. I tried the game on a number of settings but couldn't seem to fix it. Do you have spec requirements for this game? It might just be my computer, but I just wanted to let you know just in case it's not! :)
