Simple yet fun game! The sound effects, art, and movement made the experience great. I love memory games and might have gotten a bit too engrossed in the game... hahaha

Thanks for sharing!

Oooo that's really smart! I like that mechanic

Haha, describes me perfectly :) Thank you so much for trying it out!

Thank you so much for playing! I would also love to implement crazier/more gamified ways to solve problems. And adding more problems too!

Thank you so much for playing and for not giving up! xD

Such a cute game and cool mechanic! I loved the zen vibes and puzzles that actually required some thought to figure out how to solve the levels.

The character movement was a little slow, even for the zen-niness imo. Also, the last level felt a lot easier than the level before it and seems like it could be useful for teaching the mechanic progression earlier in the game.

Overall, loved the game and thanks for sharing!

Loved this! As the commenter below mentioned, I really enjoyed the progression and level design. Every part of it felt really intentional and I'm so thankful for the checkpoints. Unfortunately my laptop's R key was broken, so I played through like 5 times to get to the final level. But it was so worth it.

The cute art, colors, and music were super on point too. Thanks for sharing!

Love the art and sound effects, thanks for sharing!

Love the art and vibes! I also like the way the alien turned colors as it got cold or hot, as well as how the cold aliens didn't kill you, and rather just pushed you around :)

Thanks for sharing!

This is so cute! I couldn't make it past the two cacti in the tutorial, but I love the concept and theme.

This game is pretty fun! The pixel art is cute, the mechanics are straightforward and I'm really glad the hitboxes are forgiving (at least compared to some of the other games like this I've played). I can see why you say this can be a bit of a rage game, but I didn't give up and made it to the top after A LOT of tries!

Thanks for sharing!

Cute game and congrats on your first jam! The "H" hotkey didn't work for me for some reason (totally understandable since this game looks like a lot of work to implement), so I made it a competition for myself to see how many actions I could jam in before my dev perished of depression xD

I really like the concept and art too  -- the buttons pressing down are so satisfying! Also, I really appreciate the in-game tutorial with arrows and descriptions. Thanks for sharing :)

The zip is missing the `MonoBleedingEdge` folder. However, even after getting it to run properly, it's unclear what the goal of the game is. All I can do is move the cube / rectangular prism around until the timer ends, and then it transitions to another scene that similarly does not make sense.

Unless this is intentional, it would probably be helpful to include some in-game instructions.

Absolutely love this! The art, the music, the way the instructions were seamlessly injected into the orientation talk from the manager, THE ENDING <3 I really like the distraction mechanic, where you have to maintain multiple tasks at once in a way that isn't contrived at all.

I'm so impressed you were able to create such a polished and emotion-wrenching game in just a week. Ngl I was a bit scared of the smile in the thumbnail (I'm horrible with horror, which I found out this isn't) and I'm soooo glad I tried it out. Thanks for sharing!

Love the out of the box thinking you have to do! I got stuck on the first level and really appreciated the in-game pointers to clue me in that this isn't the usual platformer style.

For the last level, I kept getting into a state where it becomes impossible to beat and the back button stops working. I'm not gonna include a screenshot in case it has spoilers, but feel free to reach out if it would be helpful. If such a bug is already known, then you can ignore this paragraph.

I had a lot of fun playing this game, thanks for sharing!

The art is cute and the game is fun. Thanks for sharing!

Not sure if this is the fixed version, but doing Shift + Space instead works for me! (it's backwards, so you have to press the Shift first)

Super cute, simple, and fun! Love the sound effects the most, it's so satisfying whenever the ball bounces. Thanks for sharing!

Cute, love the simple but fun concept! I couldn't get past 2... doesn't give me much hope for my current job search :P

Thank you so much for playing and giving feedback!

There's not much to the goal other than playing the minigames, (maybe) relating to the problems, and (hopefully) having fun! :)

Oh nooo I gave up just a bit too early!!! I'll have to go back and see if I can finish it today. Thanks for the info!

This game is so funny. Tbh really well done for having only taken such a short time to implement. I love that you can end the game in like 2s :D thanks for making me laugh!

I loved this game so much! The twist with controlling the character via a Unix terminal was very cool and the story was very engaging. Also I can't not mention how cute the art was. I'm really impressed your team created this for a jam, and with less time too!

I got to the normal ending and then obsessively kept playing until I got the hidden ending too :) Thanks for sharing!

Out of curiosity, how many levels are there total?

This is the most infuriatingly fantastic game I've played. The mechanic seems so simple, but it's so addicting. It took me 36 crashes to get the hang of the first level and I got to level 7 before I had to take a break to get my blood pressure down :P

Thanks for sharing!

This was so fun! I wish I could see the score after I lost because I eventually got to ~15,500 but I don't remember anymore. I love how cute the foods are and how satisfying the sound effects are.

I couldn't figure out how the paw worked. The "How to" page said you could swat foods away, but I tried clicking and swishing, but it didn't work. Regardless, the game was super fun without that mechanic too.

Thanks for sharing!

Alas, I gave up! And Sisyphus is still rolling the boulder to this day...

So cute and totally on point with the theme! I thought it was a bait when it said the demo was over xD I got to 3000 before I was completely convinced there was no more actual gameplay left :'(

It was so relaxing and therapeutic, and the ending gave me warm fuzzies inside. I loved the art, music, and symmetry. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for playing, not giving up, and giving feedback! I agree that the hot dog game can use some clearer instructions and will edit it once the jam is officially over.

Fun fact: We actually wanted to start with the narrator wanting to give up in the beginning, then transitioning to them not giving up at the end. We had 2-parter minigames planned out (1 = discovering first world problem, 2 = solving the problem), and then ran out of time haha. I'm glad we could save it by just keeping the first part minigames though!

Thank you so much for playing and commenting! I definitely underestimated the hot dog game difficulty a bit, but I'm glad it sounds like you were able to get unstuck. We all wish we could go rob a bank with Dolores :)

Also, thanks for checking out the credits -- I thought no one ever clicked those "Credits" buttons xD

Fun game, love the concept and it fits with this theme so well! Definitely made me want to give up a couple times, but I didn't give up and played to the end. I also used a trackpad while playing ("catch me if you can" and "steady hand" are so hard that way) so I definitely brought it on myself too.

Loved it, thanks for sharing!

Cute game! Love the art and the audio really gave me the spooks <3

I tried playing twice but both times after a mummy caught me, it took a life away but then I couldn't move anymore. It was still showing the idle animation though, with the person bobbing up and down.

EDIT: I tried again and it worked. The only thing I did differently that I can tell is that the first two times, I walked into the mummy (it cornered me in a dead end, so I just went towards it to die faster). The time it worked, I stood still and let the mummy come to me. Idk if that makes a difference!

Thanks for sharing!

I love this concept! It was super fun. I'd love if the number of lives you have is displayed somewhere -- I ended up just running into the spikes as many times as I could to figure out my gameplan before I started playing each level.

I think the hardest part for me was figuring out how to jump to the exact height I needed to in order to be able to jump on top of it later. I kept getting it just a couple pixels too high. This made the level with the two spike walls facing each other super hard, because I knew I wanted to hit specific locations but I couldn't hit them consistently.

I made it to the level in the screenshot, then got stuck cuz my square couldn't squeeze into the hallway to reach the green flag (lmk if I'm missing a mechanic to make the square smaller) :( guess all the exercise made it bulk up too much for the corridor!

Overall, I had a blast! Thanks for sharing :)

Is there a way to restart if you lose? I admit I lost a couple times on the last level and just closed & restarted the game when I did.  I eventually won though! Thanks for sharing :)

I had a lot of fun playing this! The cute art and relaxing audio were amazing. I was hooked throughout and then got stuck on the last couple of 4 flower levels. Thanks for sharing! :)

Your game is so cute and I loved the audio/sound effects!
