Hi! Just link to my itch store! I am no longer active on Twitter, but I am on tumblr at https://arnivold.tumblr.com

Thank you so much! I'm glad y'all liked it so much and I'm honored that you would talk about my game!

Hi, and thank you! Im glad you're having fun with the game.

To answer your question: your first 2 weapons (as well as armor and shield) do not count towards your inventory. They have their own section on the character sheet. If you wanted to hold more than 2 weapons, the additional ones would take up inventory space

If you use an item, its only destroyed if using that item would break or deplete it somehow. Otherwise its yours to keep!

The spell lists are in the characrer sheet doc. Each role has its own sheet with 6 spells, the full list from both the base game and the expansion!

Absolutely phenomenal work. As a former EMT, I can attest that the gameplay presented here is hardly an exaggeration of what it's like running a privately-owned, profit-driven ambulance. Forged in the Dark works incredibly well here, and I love the use of the card deck adding an extra layer to the probability mechanics, because shit ALWAYS hits the fan sooner or later during a shift. Love the Cyberpunk edge as well. Overall this is a fantastic work, and I can't wait to show it to my home group!

You either don't have enough space in your pockets or you can't handle that much crystal energy near your body. I didn't really write a lore reason for why MAGI can only carry a certain number of crystals, it's just an abstraction for game balance that you can create as much or as little narrative justification for as you like. It's a resource you must spend and recover, but the way you access that resource in the fiction is intended to be loose and varied so that you can pull one out of your pocket, break a nearby sign, etc. With the Salvage action in the play guide allowing you to roll dice to replenish your supply.

I realize it's a bit abstract, but you should treat it like any other LUMEN-based energy resource with a fictional representation as an object you can hold a set number of.

Sure! Crystals are represented as a stat to show that you have a maximum amount of them your character can carry.  It's the same as having a max energy value, only that energy is abstracted as physical objects your character can hold a finite amount of.

"Oh wont someone PLEASE think of the able-bodied, neurotypical, cishet white men????"

Real talk: The game is ABOUT being a minority. That's the basic premise of the game. If you can't handle that then maybe it isn't for you.

Also, if you feel the need to preface your novel of a post complaining about having to play a minority in a game about minorities with "I am not abelist or racist or sexist or homophobic or whatever else but..." you may want to do some self-reflection before you hit the "post" button.

I recommend no more than 4 players, not including the Facilitator. As for game time, missions usually take around 2 hours each. For a short session, try 1 mission. For a longer session, maybe 2.

It's a love letter to a lot of FF games, but if I had to name one specific game, it would be Final Fantasy XIII

Hey, thanks!

Unfortunately aside from what is currently up for download, I don't know if I'll be able to make a printable version. I am currently assessing whether to crowdfund a print run of the game, but for right now it's strictly digital. Sorry! That may change in the future depending on how things go.

There's a rule for backtracking in chapter 2. Essentially you roll a d6 for each room you revisit, and if you roll a 6, it triggers a combat encounter!

Just added some!

Introducing my debut TTRPG, Off The Grid! A game of fighting an oppressive government with wicked parkour moves and gunplay.  Heavily inspired by the video game Mirror's Edge, this TTRPG is meant to emulate the quick-thinking and on-the-fly action of doing clandestine missions in a bustling cityscape as Couriers working for a revolutionary group. In Off The Grid, you will:

  • Evade, fight, and outwit enemy forces
  • Roll a single d10 to resolve mechanics quickly
  • Make fast, on-the-fly decisions as your characters do with a timed turn mechanic
  • Go up against (or completely avoid!) corrupt police, crooked private security, and oppressive military agents
  • Draw upon your characters' personal Drives that act as reset buttons when things go horribly wrong
  • Hang out with and support your fellow Couriers after a job well done

Race from rooftop to rooftop and take down the Lemniscate Group!
