Hi, idk if you look out for questions like this, but I plan on running Nova soon for my partners, and I was wondering what the starting amount of health/fuel is for players? I can't tell if it's in the book and I just can't see it, or if it's not formally listed anywhere.

Edit: Nevermind! I needed to peer a little closer to the document <3

I think an extension would be nice!

That could do it - though yeah, that is a lot of work =w=;;;

I'll probably save that for after the game jam as a bigger update

Has anyone come up with an easy way to make NPCs and/or NPC quest lines using the SRD? So far for Siren Silk I have it down that you could pick 2 traits from a trait list (if using one), and then 1 skill and 1 flub to make an NPC, on top of using the Adjective table to fill in more gaps. For quests, I'm drawing a bit more of a blank, other than using the SRD's tables again.

I was wondering if there was anything more streamlined, or if anyone came up with anything better than that.

I'm figuring stuff out! My main focus is on the maps for right now, and I'm trying to figure out "biomes" for each zone of the sea for map making. For now, I have the shallow and abyssal zones done, but it's that middle one I'm figuring out still. I'm tempted to just make one table instead of three different tables, just to make it smaller if only for the demo/proof of concept.

Currently working on an undersea exploration and bartering/trading game; I'm calling it Siren Silk, and I'm currently rewriting it since I have better ideas down. I think whatever I end up submitting to the jam will be more-so a proof of concept/beta thing. Main features I want in there right now are character creation, map creation (using hex-map layout), and a trading/bartering system.

I'm mostly rewriting it to get the specific things I want in done, and then I'll end up putting the proper mechanics (as in, the greater portion of the SRD) in the document. Hopefully when I get that done, if things go well, I can relax and format things properly for a properly designed document and work on art. I want to practice making logos and titling some, so this'll do well imo.

This is actually so cool, and an amazing way to bring Gwen to life...

As far as I know (I'm not a dev), the devs have gone on to say this is not something that's planned. People on the discord have, however, modded cat creators, and you should go there to browse them and learn how to edit your files.

I do not play on mac, but you would have to go into the code by clicking the directory button in the bottom left in the settings screen. You then just have to locate the linked files, pull them into a file editor, and rename each instance of the clan name and rename the files themselves to match.

The dev version is hosted on the github linked above! Dev stands for "in development", as it is for testing possible features for the future and fixing bugs (as such, it is very buggy at times)

The development team recommends just sticking to this public itch.io version since it is much more stable than the dev version.

As of this recent update from a few days ago, we can now update the game automatically rather than redownloading the file every time (which we used to do)
