Hey there everyone,

I recently reached a huge development milestone in my project and I am so incredibly excited to share it!

Pareidolia: Going Home is a puzzle platformer where you are being hunted. You take on the role of an excavation robot lost in the long forgotten caves deep in the earth. Being separated from your team after falling through a cave schism, you must venture into the darkness alone with nothing but your battery powered work light to illuminate the way. There is a powerup to obtain, rapport to build with a sassy supercomputer, a horror that relentlessly hunts you when your battery runs low, and secrets to find hidden in the sprawling caverns.

This project has been a huge undertaking and it still has a long way to go. It's been amazing watching this game transform over time and any critique or suggestion to help make it a more engaging and fun experience is invaluable to me. Thank you anyone that takes the time or just gives it a look. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hey there, I've been working on this game for a while now and have began taking development of it pretty seriously. It's called Pareidolia: Going Home and is a fuller realization of a project I had before. The game is a puzzle platformer where you are being pursued by a paranormal entity. You play as a lone excavation robot who has fallen through a schism separating you from your human team members. You solve various puzzles involving lost cargo and tangled electrical equipment like doors and weights to keep moving forward splitting your time between solving these puzzles and keeping the dark at bay. I'd Love to read what you think and how this can be improved further! More updates to come on the games Instagram and Twitter too!

Been a huge fan since Micro Mages, cant wait to try this out!

Thank you for the suggestion! The scythe was definitely the most fun weapon to program and having more would add some diversity in weapon drops!

Unfortunately I couldn't find a download I'm sorry

I had an weird bug where the bottom right room would despawn my character.  I think spawning the player at the door that they enter through after leaving a space would help with some fluidity!

The Golden Candlestick is definitely broken, like majorly.  Something that I'm considering to change maybe in future builds!

I think that the enemy to drop ratio is something that can be given more attention to definitely.  If this were to be explored a bit more maybe there could be more puzzle elements to justify the weapon count in the stages.  Something that was in the planning stages was giving the player a temporary speed boost after using a weapon to reward quick-thinking.
