Super cool game, i love the concept and the music is funky, overall the game is a vibe!

Thank you for playing the game, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! i plan to add a ton more to this game and submit it at the end of the month to the SoloDev Marathon Jam, follow the project if you would like to check it out again after the update.

Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I have turned into a complete madman with shaders lately and am honestly surprised by what all can be done with them, I stumbled across the background shader on godotshaders and it was too good to pass up for this project!.

Thanks for your feedback and Thanks for playing! I played your game as well and had a blast with it.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback, I will implement more of a cooldown between the single fire shots to slow the fire-rate down a bit as per your suggestion!

Thank you for your feedback, I plan to implement an in-game visual representation of each control to better explain the mechanics to the player. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing and thanks even more for your feedback! ill take a range indicator into consideration its going to be slightly problematic to implement since lifespan of the bullet is based on time currently but I should be able to change it to be based on distance from player global position then that would allow me to know precisely where the bullet will stop and I can make some type of indicator. I plan to implement armored enemies as well as enemies which split into multiple smaller enemies when killed as well as some others. As far as the shield goes, the stutter may be due to web based play (assuming you played the html build) but I do need to look into optimization either way.

Awesome Submission! I loved your art style and music choice, your game, like mine, gets monotonous after a while but that's just the nature of the survival type. are you planning to work on the game more after the jam or was this purely for a submission? Id be curious to see how the project develops.

Character control is hard to master but the concept is cool, id like to see this game developed further, im curious as to what it could become! Great job and good luck!

Awesome Submission! The music you used was a nice choice and i love the fact that this is a 3d game, not many of those get submitted. the web build is a little janky yet playable, but you already knew that. I don't have any useful input for you on this game so Great Job and Good Luck!

nice platforming shooter game, I love the retro vibes and the simplistic color pallet

excellent incremental clicker, art is nice as well!

Nice art and simple concept!

thanks for your comment, i plan to expand on the game and submit it to SoloDev Marathon Jam at the end of the month, make sure to follow me if you're interested in seeing how the game changes over time.

Wow, this is honestly really fun and addicting, the tasteful combinations of the art style, sweet drum and bass tunes, and the constant gun changing make this game fun to play over and over. excellent work!

Thank you for your feedback! i plan to continue work on the game and submit it to SoloDev Marathon jam at the end of the month so if you're interested in keeping up with its progress give me a follow!

Thank you for your feedback!

Fun yet simple incremental clicker game, a little more explanation of what the power ups actually do for you would be nice but it doesn't make the game unplayable. great job!

The art reminds me of old PS1 games and is nice, however it wasn't really clear on what my goal was in the game. id be curious to see the state of this project after some more development.

Fun little incremental clicker, art is nice and gameplay loop is simple and effective. it gets really tough around wave 5 or 6. i am curious to see how this game turns out if/when you develop it further.

Fun little game, i did great until basically the whole screen was claws haha, sounds are nice and art is awesome great job !

Genuinely a fun game, it reminds me of the flash games i used to play on the school computers as a kid. solid concept and fun gameplay loop!

Excellent sound and art choices, i could only make it to 30 but that's because i'm bad. The only recommendation i would leave is that the player and enemy feel very large in the screen space, if those were scaled down a bit it would be just a touch easier to survive. Solid asteroid type game though, i also submitted a very similar game if you care to try it out.

This was a lot harder than i was expecting it to be, but maybe im just bad haha. Music and art are great and the concept is solid!

Ididn't think i was going to make it at first because i didnt notice the slow enemies perk right away. but once i did i dumped all my money into it and made the game exponentially easier, i also snuck in some extra score behind the win screen! Solid base for an active incremental game!

Neat game, it's very easy to get careless and block yourself into a tight spot, fun game overall. sound effects are a touch loud but other than that its a solid concept!

Nice "Chill" game if i dare even call it that, the music is nice, and art style is easy to look at. the only thing that i could suggest to maybe make it a little better is to purchase a tile automatically if it is double-clicked.

(1 edit)

Welcome to Life_Init! So, you're just starting out and you've picked a fresh name for your planet...or you didn't and now you're stuck with a nice randomly generated number sequence and are now greeted with a user interface that might seem overwhelming to some. Fear Not, for this guide will steer you in the right direction to get your stockpiles filled in no time.

Mining & Farming:

By default, these two tabs have productions available for you to get started, make sure you start the first productions on both tabs. It is best to keep these running, even when you do not need the resources or have reached the cap, this will prevent you from running out of the resource at a later time due to forgetting to start the production again.

Construction & Upgrades:

Always keep an eye on both your Construction and Upgrades tabs, these are essential to making forward progress, in the upgrade tab you will have the ability to upgrade your stockpile cap in return for stockpiled resources, similarly, the construction tab allows you to build new productions in return for stockpiled resources.

in these two tabs, you can hover over the buy buttons for a readout of resources required for the purchase of each respective upgrade.

Stockpiles:

Each Production tab will have a stockpile list of the materials gained from that tab's productions,  it also shows you what your current stockpile cap is.

Additionally, Each production has a hint, which tells you what materials are taken in and outputted from each production.

Population:

(Added in patch 1.4) Creating a planet comes with a lot of responsibility, and part of that responsibility is maintaining the delicate balance between your population and your food supply, any time one goes out of whack the other is thrown off.  The more people you have the faster food is used and needs resupplying, as food supplies get lower people die at a faster rate, and if everyone dies off......well, you restart the game and your save file is deleted. But you'd never let that happen.

Economy:

(Added in patch 1.4) Sell your materials for cold hard cash, Come back later and spend that cash on materials that you need.

Very nice little text editor, after see in your submission I challenged myself to make a fully functional text editor in Godot with custom syntax highlighting. It was a job for sure and I would like to congrats you on your very good execution.

Awesome little tool, i like the fact that you can change the input and output, you could have easily set it to work with device defaults, but instead you took the time to allow selection. I appreciate that and will be keeping this on my pc to play with in the future.

Gonna save me tons of time making future sprite sheets, Thanks for the useful tool!

I really enjoyed playing this game! Very well executed.
