Really fun graphics, love the CRT effect and the stars in the background, all great touches

It's a pity there's no music...And so it's good)

Developer

Nice retro visuals, classy arcade gameplay, and good sound design. Good job! It could be nice to have some indication that my bullets have max range—I didn't expect that, and I thought some enemies had armor xD. The first use of the shield made the game freeze for about 1 second.

Developer

Thanks for playing and thanks even more for your feedback! ill take a range indicator into consideration its going to be slightly problematic to implement since lifespan of the bullet is based on time currently but I should be able to change it to be based on distance from player global position then that would allow me to know precisely where the bullet will stop and I can make some type of indicator. I plan to implement armored enemies as well as enemies which split into multiple smaller enemies when killed as well as some others. As far as the shield goes, the stutter may be due to web based play (assuming you played the html build) but I do need to look into optimization either way.

I like the idea behind the visual look and the general idea of the game - simply a classic arcade shooter. Controls threw me a bit of since I expected them to behave in a different way.

Adding more sounds, music and other effects like screenshake or other juicy elements would make it even more appealing and more fun to play.

Overall, nice submission :)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I plan to implement an in-game visual representation of each control to better explain the mechanics to the player. Thanks for playing!

I would suggest making holding lmb do auto fire, but at a quite limited rate

currently spamclicking fast enough almost lets you achieve the same as the burst option :P

NIce style

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback, I will implement more of a cooldown between the single fire shots to slow the fire-rate down a bit as per your suggestion!

I liked the visual style of the game and the gameplay is a classic for a reason. Fun game, thanks for sharing!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback and Thanks for playing! I played your game as well and had a blast with it.

Love the visual style here! I think I used the same or a similar star field shader on a project recently. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Developer

Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback! I have turned into a complete madman with shaders lately and am honestly surprised by what all can be done with them, I stumbled across the background shader on godotshaders and it was too good to pass up for this project!.

I really like the visual style and art in this, especially that CRT effect. Though it is kind of slow-paced in my opinion. Great game overall, a nice take on those retro arcade shoot em ups.

Pretty basic and simple game. I love the old school and space visuals. The game gets a lil' harder the longer you play, but there isn't really much other than shooting the same enemies, it's still kind of fun though (I kept shooting the enemies and almost got wrecked from behind lol). The game is good for a basic space shooter.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! i plan to continue work on the game and submit it to SoloDev Marathon jam at the end of the month so if you're interested in keeping up with its progress give me a follow!

genuinely pretty fun. got through a few waves and the gameplay didn't seem too deep, so it did get dull, but not for a while. good take on the basic space shooter. LOVE the visual effects, they sell the vibe of it
