Thank you, glad you enjoyed :D

Thank you very much! As a first game this means a ton!, I have a future free update coming out adding a bit of replayability and before that will be addition of some levels for the dlc contained within :D. If you have any suggestions to add from your experience lmk!

I'm rocking a 7900xt, 7900x ryzen with 32gb ddr6 ram. I booted the game up again and the lighting is working this time, I think it just didn't load in the first time.

Also Im sure you'll find what perfectly fits your vision for interplay, keep it up!

I felt, maybe feedback wise there wasn't much? I could just spam shoot without consequence... something like limited ammo could solve this?

Otherwise some tweaks on enemies & how they react to being shot?

I overall felt there just would need to have some sort of risk for a larger scale creation.

Of course btw this is just feedback for your future, and you very well may had thought these things out :D

The other aspects are designed pretty solidly so far though!

I think it just needs a moment to moment loop within each combat encounter, something that compliments "Shoot, kill, reload"

Also was the dark style of the demo gif intended, as when I played it was an unlit grey space?

The idea of a classic on rails shooter is really neat!, the story concept seems intriguing as well, a bit of refinement on the gameplay side and you could definitely be onto something!

Just spotted the game on twitter, and tried it there, unreal work! Keep it up :D , this has now become my new during a free class keyboard game

Just tried your game and completed it, really cool card deck style! Only issue I had and I presume it was not meant to be the case but I could use every spell I was given? Some spells were tagged as forgotten if not used but i was able to just use them all anyway, other than that issue the game was really nice start to finish,  if expanded upon it would no doubt be an incredible game!

Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :D, I did realise I made the controls more suited to a game that makes use of a mouse and keyboard, instead of making use of both hands being free to use, I appreciate the feedback & after the GameJam I'm going to update the controls and add controller support! Thanks again for your time!

A unique take on a puzzle platformer, really enjoyed my time with the game :D

Thank you! Glad your enjoying it :D , if there's any suggestions or gripes with it let me know, or if there were things that weren't clear enough to begin with!

What was disliked about the controls, and do you have any suggestions for improvements for future games? Also thank you so much for trying the game :D

Love the style of the game, and the retro sound effects! Will give it a try now!

Day/Night Cycle! - Just a small addition today before the end of the Jam!  I am really happy how this as our first game has turned out, There was no prior coding experience but what we have strived to create  is starting to visualise itself :D. Thank you everyone who took the time to try the game out for yourselves!

Future plans: Going to keep working on the game and improving it! Take some coding courses for more knowledge and art courses also! The story is nearly set and I'm considering adding coins that you can collect and maybe buy  a new ability perhaps ???

New enemies, Bosses, Final Boss and more variety in the world you explore! New Biomes and a weather system maybe??

New attacks maybe??

New Assets and Music too!

Suggestions are more than welcome!!

My name is Scott and My friend who helped me with our first game is Josh.. I hope to improve upon this current slate but this Jam has been a blast of a way to learn how to code in a shorter amount of time than usual!

We decided its finally time to start our first game! I followed a few Godot tutorials and went to see if there was a Jam to join and here I am!

I have only dabbled in programming a little bit before this but never knew about Godot until recently

I followed Heartbeast on youtube to learn the ins and outs of Godot .

Josh who is my collegue on the project  helped me along the way by designing some art such as the dragon below.

The idea for the game comes from our love for RPGs. The goal set in mind for the game is: Your set off on a quest by a dragon who has been heavily injured during a battle against some of the strongest of foes. It requests that you take down all 3 Foes and use the Items dropped by them to create a healing elixir within the cauldron... only then can it regain its full strength and take out the Bohemoth(Working Title).

You will face many dangers along the way but there are ways to prevent an inevitable death!

Currently in the 2 week time period we managed to get most of our art done, we have scripted in 1 Boss fight and 2 world enemies. I plan to add another attack for the player but right now he only has one. There is some music and we have included temporarily designed options menus , pause menus and a death screen for the player. Currently death sends you to quit the game right now.

The Boss fight was redone three times since I was not happy with previous iterations of its movement but after a little tweaking to the code I got it to behave much more fluid!

The Actual Arena and a Few Visual Errors With The Boss have been fixed since this recorded footage.

Josh designed a wonderful Title Screen for the game:

This is the art he designed for our title screen ( Name not added since were not set in stone on it!)

This is Footage of the current progress we have made as a team within the game:
