That would be too invasive/handholdy for me. An in-game notepad could be easily justified as something you carry with you and it would be useless without your input. Maybe there is another way, this was just the solution to both of these problems for me (with additional application as a general note keeping device).

Not remembering what I have to collect next brought me to using a notepad. I think an in-game version of that would not just address the problem of not knowing what to collect but that in return would also lessen the problem of a cluttered storage, like you described. Maybe pinnable recipes that track what you already have (inventory and storage) or literally just an in-game version of the windows notepad, so that you don't have to tab out every time to look at it. Of course you already can look the recepies up in the utility section of your pouch but that's even more cumbersome than doing what I did, especially if you are using it repeatedly.
Oooo, I love your third point. I was also hoping that environmental hazards and traps like the ones you described could be added in the future. Especially plants, bondage/chastity like cursed equipment or aphrodisiacs to name a few things I was thinking about. In a post from a while ago someone also suggested something like ghost hands. Some of these things (such as aphrodisiacs) could also be combined with status effects and finding ways to cure you.
But I think that it's still a while off, if something like that would ever be implemented, and these comments get a bit flooded with suggestions, while I think that Raliv still has a good amount of things they want to implement first.
As someone who isn't too interested into sexual interactions with the NPCs, I really like the mecha and "sex magic" concept and the almost casual depiction while piloting a mecha. Do you plan to add more in that regard, like with the magic weapons or something else?
Either way, the first build looks really promising and I'll be looking forward to the next updates.
Keep up the good work, and best of luck!
Happened to me, the first time I started the patch, but only when my laptop wasn't plugged into the power supply (probably some power saving that limited processing power). I noticed however that looking in the direction of the new fire pillar structure, reduces performance significantly, if you have limited pp.
If the game runs fine in other locations, such as the home island, these new structures might be the problem.
Really promising so far, I really love the character creator.
Just some bugs, and quality of live suggestions (sorry if some of them are already known):
- Character creator (pattern problems only apply to dragon species):
- The pattern "halfbottom" is clipping at the back of the head.
- The transition between "inner legs soft" and "and inner thighs"/"chestbelly" looks a bit off, maybe a gradient version or hard border version of one or the other could fix that.
- The option to set a base color for every body part individually (head, ears, torso,...), since some areas can't be changed otherwise.
- Larger font and a drag and drop option for pattern layers.
- Other:
- Hitting "z" in sex scenes makes your cursor disappear, softlocking you (but gives you the nice ability to move the camera freely).
- Balls clipping into the thighs (I don't know how hard it would be to circumvent that or if letting them collide with the legs would cause other problems but would be a huge improvement, in my opinion, if it could be done somehow)
Is there plan to have a dedicated place to report bugs and content suggestions (if you're ok with that) in the future?
For me personally I think, that Nal being depicted alongside the enemy adds to the perception of these as scenes and not just enemy images, if that makes sense.
It didn't bother me much, that it was only one image and I think that adding more is by far not the most important thing.
And even when we come to that, I'd consider adding one or two alternate versions (e.g. for each mental state) which would be the same across every fight might already be enough. The images for the grapple states could be enlarged regardless.
I can see that it could warrent more in the future (different equipment, or other player statuses), though I wouldn't say that not having these alterations would detract from my experience very much. But that's just my opinion and I don't know how well it reflects others game experience.
Just finished Sissel's route a few days ago (or what's available at the moment) and really had a blast with this emotional rollercoaster. Aside from some minor things I can't complain at all. Every character feels really compelling and well thought out, with their own completely unique paths in the making. There are still many unanswered questions in my mind and I'm very excited how everything will continue so I'll be gleefully looking forward to future updates.
Though there is one thing that has been occupying my mind over the last few days and that I need to get off my chest. If you haven't played Sissel's route up to its current end, regard the following as a SPOILER:
I know Echo is just a side character but I wish you could have spend more time with him (I don't mean that in a sexual way). I just like him very much and found his unique relation to Euca (the mc) very interesting.
Despite the fact that the Euca has lost his memory of Echo, it seems that he was a very important person in Euca's life and it made me really sad and upset to see Echo go so soon.
Even as there sadly seems to be no way to save him, as Echo's existence apparently relies on Euca's unhappiness, I just wished there was more dialogue between him and Echo that would explore and develop their relationship more, like the scene during the meteor shower. This scene in particular was what felt like the only real heart-to-heart moment between the two. Many other times Echo just brushed Euca's concerns for him aside or Euca needed to focus on the more pressing matter at hand and had to disregard whatever was happening or had happened to Echo.
As he sacrificed himself, all of this and especially that there wasn't even a proper farewell brought tears to my eyes (+ the heart wrenching illustrations I can't get out of my head). For me it was the hardest part to watch, as when other major disasters happened it was either obvious (Sissel leaving the city), there where hints (Jinny dying in the fire) or at least a feeling or hope (Echo very suddenly getting torn apart by the Remnant), that it wouldn't end the way it seemed it would but now Echo's death feels final.
I just hope that there will still be an appropriate emotional response from Euca and some sort of closure, even though he is gone. (+ there are still some unanswered questions I have regarding him) After all, it seems that as the edelweiss said "Your story will not begin until you finish theirs." and I think Echo would be a not insignificant part of that, even if only in memory.
Just to reiterate: I had a great time with the VN. I hope it is clear that this one point does not reflect my opinion on Repeat at all, as the last thing I would want is to give a false impression. Neither do I want to suggest that I want Shirokoi to take the story on a different path than he intentions it to go. I can fully accept the death of characters (even if it hurts, but it would be awkward if it didn't), for me it just felt like that there was something missing, but maybe that's just me.
I would also be interested if anyone else has an opinion or something other to say on this.
Anyways, thanks for listening to the ramblings of an emotional wreck.
