I will be tomorrow (Tuesday 10pm EDT)! my URL is https://twitch.tv/hannbanans

thank you for the kind words, and glad you enjoyed! 💜

thanks so much, glad you enjoyed! I'm glad we did okay on the humor concept, I think the fact that things are so silly in a very dark story concept makes it even better hahaha

Thanks so much, I had so much fun making the art for this game! Glad you enjoyed :)

thanks so much! yeah, the button design could probably be different haha, but fun fact: using the button to flip the room does actually refresh the item spawn rates as well! Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed <3

I really like this concept! I'm probably just bad at platforming, but I got stuck at a couple different points for a while. All in all, solid entry, I especially enjoy all the monochromatic scenes!

Super cute and relaxing, LOVE the boss level hahaha!

Really fun concept! I got to 45 seconds, don't think I'll do much better hahaha. Great job!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'd definitely love to explore some other ways to make this game more hectic; if Mr Afroduck is up for it, I'd also like to make an endless version! Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed!

I really like this, probably my favorite tower defense game I've played from the jam. I do feel like the difficulty is a bit high; normally, tower defense games kind of scale you up rather than throwing a bunch of stuff at you all at once. With that type of quality-of-life adjustment, this would be a super solid game!

This is absolutely PHENOMENAL! Hilarious, the art is good, super captivating. Great job on this!

Simulation games are always super neat to see unfold! Would be more engaging with some non-placeholder art and some music.

This game is pretty neat! Couple points of feedback: Sound would make this SO much cooler, and I think that it might be more interesting if the different guns were actually temporary powerups in the level with the normal gun. Love the art as well, great job!

I honestly ADORE this game. It gives me The Binding of Isaac vibes, which is one of my favorite games of all time. I would absolutely love to play a more polished version of this, hope you keep working on it after the jam!

I had a very hard time playing this - it seems nearly impossible to get through the clones at many points. This could benefit from some more forgiving level design. I do really like the concept though!

(1 edit)

I love the art on the orangutan and on the thieves, dunces, and wizards. Biggest piece of feedback would be to have some kind of cue (whether visual or auditory) when you use the orangutan's scream. That way, it's easier to tell when it's taking effect and when it isn't. Other than that, great job!

This game is probably the cutest game I've played of the games I've rated. I love the different mini games, and none of them are so hard that I, a bad multitasker, can't do them while also shooting the monster drawings. Great game, good job to both of you!

hey thanks for playing! Definitely the most common feedback we’ve gotten and the most common struggle I’ve seen when folks stream our game, totally my bad! That’s what barely sleeping for 72 hours will do to you: cause you to make bad design decisions 🤣 glad you enjoyed!

thank you so much! If you’re playing the downloaded version, we have discovered a bug that sometimes happens (we’re unsure why) where sometimes the light on the cursor does not cut through the darkness of the room. Not sure if this is what you’re experiencing, but if so, the browser version does not do this. Other than that, yeah, the lighting in the room gets darker and darker the longer you take to complete the game. :) glad you enjoyed!

that’s a heck of a compliment, I appreciate it so much and so glad you enjoyed the game! ❤️

Thanks so much! Definitely want to change the design of the button to turn around after the jam's over, maybe we can expand a bit more on the tutorial too. Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks so much! Yeah, the main point of feedback we've been getting is that the icon to switch room sides is not very clear what it's for. Definitely something I want to correct after the jam is over! Glad you enjoyed, thank you for the kind words!

Thanks so much Swizz! Yeah, I kind of realized some trouble with the swivel button after the fact; if I could go back, I'd definitely not make it circular hahaha - lesson learned. While we didn't do this for the jam, I'd love to look into an Endless mode if Mr Afroduck's into it! It'd be a great opportunity for me to make even MORE ridiculous items! But, glad you enjoyed it :)

It was definitely a fun game to make! I personally am used to making platformers, so this was new territory for me. Glad you enjoyed!

hahaha yeah, especially as the darkness settles in :P Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks so much for the kind words <3 Glad you liked our game!!

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed!!

this is so good! I'm really bad at tower defense style games, but it's definitely a fun and challenging little game. Great job!

I loved this game! I could see myself playing this for hours. Great job!

I love this game's aesthetic and I love the interpretation of the theme! I'm dumb and bad at puzzles, but this game is super cool!

This is super cute! I would love to see this developed further, this could be a ton more fun than it already is!

This game is super cute and super fun! Would love to see this expanded upon, congrats on your first jam game submission!

Really cool concept! I feel that the spiders are a teensy bit quick, but it's definitely a fun game to play.

Also, you can catch my commentary on your game on my stream vod at 2:41:00 at https://twitch.tv/hannbanans on e22.5 :)

Congrats on submitting for your first game jam! That's an accomplishment in and of itself. I had a lot of problems with Unity myself starting out, so props for getting something that works! I'd love to see some more practice with programming a character controller and perhaps some interesting graphics, but you should definitely be proud!

this is really cute! I think there's some quality of life adjustments that could be made (such as a zoom-out on the camera when the screen rotates), but overall, nice job!

I absolutely love the art for this! The player character is super cute, having a cute player character that's memorable is such a good thing. I enjoyed the overall tone of the game and the way that the story of it unfolds.

This game is SO incredibly creepy, but it's done so well. As a lover of creepypastas, I definitely got that vibe from this game. I work from home myself, so I might have to sleep with one eye open tonight 🤣

Really love the art and the feel of the game! It is a bit difficult, but overall this game is very artfully crafted!
