Fuck it, I guess I am an asshole.  I'm tired of people not having standards.

No, the games here aren't good.  I would never release such garbage that showcased who I was as a man and a developer (or lack thereof).  I don't understand why anyone would be proud of something so horrible.  I guess that's what 99.9% of the human race is about, game dev or not.

You also need to boost your reading comprehension.  I listed one game as an example, but was talking of many others.

I can see posting here is a lost cause.  Worst hour of my life.  Goodbye.

If you were that busy you wouldn't bother to reply.  I have contacted support to no avail.  I write software for a living and poor design is a cardinal sin.  Not having the ability to hide/delete unwanted noise from an account is a joke and would take all of two seconds to fix.  Do you really want to showcase your work on a site in which the site developers aren't even up to par?

I went through your post history and see that you made a game that is comparable to the one you said you wouldn't bother playing, based on the videos of gameplay footage.  You're going to knock "Den: The Forgotten" when you come out with trash like "Purgatory Prime"?  You're kidding right?  The way you talk I would think you had some sort of masterpiece in the works, but it couldn't be further from the truth.  You also seem to like to argue with almost everybody, so I guess our discussion here is just another extension of your charming personality and forum etiquette.

You're talking about "mistakes I've made" like it's some kind of major life screw-up.  Sorry, this isn't a heroin addiction I got myself into.

I'm glad I came and posted here.  It just reaffirms what I do not want to be and who I don't want to associate with.  Good luck in Indie hell.  There's a reason you're here and not some AAA studio.  Goodbye forever.

Example for what?  Why are you even replying to my post?  What is your angle?  I want to DELETE a game from my library.  HOW DO I DO THAT?  Are you going to answer the question or continue to act like a toddler?

Not sure what your problem is.  I tried the game, gave the developer the benefit of the doubt, didn't like it, and now want it out of my library.

Wow, I'm glad someone agrees with me.  I couldn't have said it better myself.

I think people lack patience to learn things deeply.  They also think that because they learned it on a YouTube video it's correct.  There's almost no discussion on how to write quality software.  It seems like it's more of a hack together approach, and as long as it works, so be it.

Rust is a good example of a game made in Unity that suffers horrible performance problems.  On a decent GPU (RTX 2080) I can barely push 80fps, and even then there are horrible fps drops.  This is on a game created back in 2013 and it runs so bad I can't enjoy it.

I looked through your post history and see that you tried to create your own engine in C and OpenGL.  DON'T GIVE UP!  That kind of experience can get you a job in industry.  Rarely are these things done by solo developers, so the fact that you actually tried it, learned from it, and realized how you hit an experience wall puts you above most others.

Makes sense.

I guess I always wanted to know what I'm doing, inside and out.  It wasn't enough for me to just use Unity/Unreal/Godot, or whatever other engine, and just crank something out that has bugs on the end-users' system that were unforeseen.  I tend to program everything from scratch and take these things into account from the beginning.  It takes a massive amount of time and I churn out far fewer projects than I should, but I take polish very seriously and it's worth the wait in my opinion.

I think these engines are really doing programmers and developers a disservice because they oversimplify the game creation process.  For example, if you don't know the math behind 3D rendering how could you possibly fix in-game glitches on an engine you have no control over?

I don't like being negative.  Just frustrated like you said.  I won't waste anyone else's time.  Take care everyone.

Fair enough.

I guess I'm more of a perfectionist.  Either the game is on point or it doesn't see the light of day.  I've been the same with with game development as I have with music, art, and pretty much everything else in my life.

I'll keep searching for that 1%.  Thanks for the heads up.

Just like game trailers from AAA studios that have nothing to do with the game.  You have to play the game to truly understand.  Game art, trailers, screenshots, etc. doesn't really do it justice.

In any case, why am I unable to delete this from my account?

99% of the games on here are garbage.  What's worse is that some list their game for $5-10.  I know you can "pay what you want", but expecting someone to cough up 5 to 10 bucks on a game that runs like my Grandma's diarrhea, when I could spend the same amount of money on a used game from a AAA studio, is absurd.

Go look up "Den: The Forgotten".  The dude wants $10.  Are you fucking kidding me?  Now it's 100% off, I bought this on accident, and now I have to look at this heaping trash in my library every time I view my Library page because it thinks I own it.

Dear god.  I spent all of about 30 minutes playing games here and I doubt I'll be back.  Good riddance.  No one has standards anymore.
