So i am a primarily 2d game dev and i have a platformer game of a friend that i am considering remaking. The problem is this game is 3D. Am i allowed to make a 2d pixel art version of this game? Or would this be too far removed from the themes and rules from this jam?

I found this really weird bug. On the second day i purchased a beartrap and a wardrobe. I placed the wardrobe inside and wanted too pick up the chair but i couldnt, i could only stand on it so I went back too the pc and shut it off thinking that the game maybe still thought the shop menu was open so thats why i couldnt pick up the chair? Idk. But when i exited the pc the camera moved back too the yard with the delivery fan but my character was still inside at the computer room.
There is a free version of clickteam fusion 2.5 on steam while this version is limited compared to the paid version it should have enough features to make a game for this Jam. Alternatively you could look into torrenting fusion or the games factory but since i lack knowledge on torrenting i wouldnt know the specifics of it.
Hello everybody its me the organizer for this event here first I want to say sorry for being 3 hours late in announcing the theme!(I got distracted sorry about that) but the theme is TIME IS YOUR ALLY.
now as with any game jam the theme is open for interpretation and this one is pretty broad but for the people who struggle with concepts here are a few baseline ideas you could use for your game.
1. a timer mechanic: think something like regenerating or gaining cash every few minutes some time loop that gives your resources.
2. manipulating time: think something controlling game speed or being able to play the same level but at different points in history.
3. literally time as an ally: think something like having a sentient clock as your ally in a videogame or as a one liner spouting sidekick.
These are a few ideas you can utilize for your game but really just go nuts with it! as long as your game includes time in a positive manner it will fit the team so go wild ^_^
Thank you for the feedback (: . Yeah the last level is bugged but i made a prejam version which fixes a few of the issues and adds more levels(and an actual ending). you can check it out here: https://jimbink.itch.io/dualitenplus
Yeah i wasnt really paying attention when writing the tutorial dialogue xD so thats why it says WASD. Yeah the game was made too be tough since i used the nes style game philosophy of stretching out a short games runtime by increasing its difficulty but there are secret areas in the game which give you power ups too make it a tad bit easier.
