Oh man, thanks so much for the focused feed back! Full version of the game is a ways off, it'll be developed from scratch. I'm so honored the cut scenes felt polished enough, I did em Sunday afternoon, well I did all the game structure Sunday. Saturday all I had was the game play for one room. I really like your thoughts on lighting tricks to bring out contrast and mood. Really valuable feed back, thank you so much!

Thank you!!!

Love the sprite work! Especially the animations. I got stuck and couldn't figure out how to use my changed weapons but otherwise I'm excited to see more.

Holy cow, I love the game design here, it took me a minute to realize I could mine through the tiles but that's such an awesome idea for a dungeon crawler. It was like SteamWorld Dig meets Zelda. So bad ass. And your music was awesome I was bobbing my head. my biggest critique is that I couldn't tell if I was doing damage to the boss. Maybe if it blinked or something when it was hit. Other than that great job! I really hope you expand on this it could make a really cool game.

I really like that it's an on rails dungeon crawler. Your creature design was freaking awesome too! My only critique is that for me the actions menu would cover up the fight so I couldn't see what was happening when I'd attack. Other than that, cool atmosphere and love the general game design.

woah, a plus on the visuals. Reminded me of an advanced form of the Donkey Kong Country visuals. Love the physics too, and jumping felt good! Great job!

Loved the presentation on this one. All the sprite work had personality, the controls were real tight, the boss design was great! My favorite little touch was that your itch page was the same color as the frame of the game, it blended in some really cool ways and felt like the game was cut out of the website, cleverly done. My only suggestion would be that the boss, was super fun and challenging, but the challenge spike was high when compared to the rest of the game. I don't think the boss should be easier but perhaps some higher challenge leading up to it. That's a balance thing though which comes with more time with the game. Great job!

Love this!

Great start, can't wait to see this game evolve!

I hope you do, this has a lot of potential!

Loved the music, and really appreciated the simplicity of the controls. If you were gunna keep working on it I'd say maybe create more unique enemy types. But great job!

Nailed the GB look. I was a huge fan of Aliens and Resident Evil for the Gameboy Color. This brought back those feels. I'd love to see you expand on this! I read you finished this in a day as well, You did wonderfully with the time, congratulations!

I was fun! Controls were smooth

I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you!

love the style here.  great world building!

thank you!!!!

Love the influences. Looks great too. My player froze when I got knocked out of a room though, couldn't walk or attack. only jump. Great job otherwise!

Great Job!!! Awesome seeing another strategy game! And you nailed the fire emblem feel.

Woahhhhh. Love how original the gameplay feels! and really fun too! the story and visuals are some of my favorites of the jam

Holy crap that is fun. I loooooooove the controls. A really unique control approach to a bullet hell type game.

Love the score!!!!

oh man this is so rad! I love the bio bullets that stick to the ceiling. Really sells the world. And the ground pound feels great! It's like a really good Metroid 2 "spin" off

Smooth controls!!! Love the fps platforming!

Thank youuuu!!

Some of my favorite music of this jam by far! love the color palette too! Might wanna give a tiny bit of extra jumping headroom if you keep working on it. But great job! And again I loved the sounds.

Love the challenge! All your assets look straight out of a gameboy. I'd totally be convinced this was some awesome lost game from the gb era!

Oh man I was Decommissioned!!! Great job love how smooth the bullet hell gameplay is!
