Sure, I just added that to my never-ending todolist. It should’nt be long though, so count on an APK for the next udpdate. Thanks for playing !

Woohoo thanks !

Damn, you’re right it worked !

Thanks mate !

Hey Kartik, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately my computer already has a ~/.local/share/love/ folder, which contains contains a Moonring/ and a MoonringPCBuild721/ directories, but the error persists. :(

Did try today, it does run but crashes past the main menu with the following error :

Error

Just so you know. Not asking for a fix or some extra work from someone giving away their game for free. Obviously I’d be happy if some sort of workaround exists though.

I did not know it worked on .exe files ! I thought it worked only on .love files. Thanks :D

Moonring community · Created a new topic Linux version ?

Hey, that’s totally my kind of game. Thanks for the hard work and making it free. Unfortunately I don’t have windows. Do you plan on releasing a linux version at some point ? Even the .love file is good enough for us penguins :)

Thanks !

You actually can right now ! Press 4 on your keyboard to go to level 4 etc…

Next version should have an overmap with a progression so I think it won’t be needed. Thank you again for the feedback !

I know right ! That’s an early prototype demonstrating the gameplay, and basically the tutorial. Next game will have you build your deck in between encounters, ala slay the spyre or inscryption if you will.

Maybe I should’ve been clearer about the state of the current prototype, my bad.

Oh yeah definetly ! I was a bit lazy to add a slider, but I guess a “mute” button would help already.

Count on it in the next version !

Yeah, I had the same but had to start it with the following command : ./Asset\ Forge.x86_64 -force-vulkan

now it crashes when I’m trying to save or export though

Sorry to bother you again, is a linux version planned at some point ? I would really like to play your game ! (And so do a bunch of friends of mine).

Being a gamedev myself I can help with the portage and/or the QA if need be :)

I'm not into steamdeck or anything related to that company. Being a gamedev myself, let me know if I can help. I also happen to have a belgian friend running a company that does just that if you prefer professionnal support.

I liked the game jam version, but apparently there is no linux build yet. Is it temporary or did you drop linux support ?

Congratulation on shipping a project. (Well just a matter of weeks anyway) That's no easy feat and it's easy to get lost in the scope creep mode. I hope you're really proud of you. I never saw a bad review of the game and I hope it continues this way !

As a side note, if you hang-out on IRC, come say hi on #gamedev-fr (on libera.chat server). We have a small community of french indies and employed devs. Expect seasonned advice, stories from the trenches and stupid puns.

Good luck for the launch !

I don't know, having a version itch is already a great gift in my opinion ! If you really want to add something, maybe an easter egg in the game ? If it's too hard to maintain different versions, just add a readme.txt with a specific message ? Reminding players how you started on itch or something ? Even a picture of you/your dog/your cat would be nice. Makes it more personal :)

Forward really was the little gem of that 7DRL ! I'm glad you took the opportunity to go commercial, it's a daunting task ! So congratulations for getting this far. I didn't see mention of a release on itch though. Do you have some kind of exclusivity deal ?

Hey, I don't know how often you guys read itch's comment section but here my answer. I hadn't the chance to go to the tomb with a legitimate character. It was close, but I made a few mistakes.

I was suprised to hear a new music and very surprised to see combat animation. I like it and now damage and combat effects are way more readable. It helps a lot, and now I can see how much damage I do whitout squinting through the logs.

I'll update this comment as soon as I get to the tomb !
