About the blending it is about edges mostly for me not being visible enough due to the 2.5D world making it extra difficult some times the environmental graphics are fine only need polishing just to be more visually appealing mostly. Played the web version so it is what you said, hope to see more from you!

Interesting idea, great scenery, but i think it still is a chess game, nothing new to add i did not get the horror effect and feeling at all. Sadly i am way more terrified playing at chess.com with a real person afraid of making the wrong move and getting punished. The game gave me many opportunities to capitalize on it's mistakes sacrificing pawns just for the sake of it. Hope it is improved in the future cause it looks promising.
For me it is a really good experience, difficulty is on point, since it is a rage game it shouldn't be forgiving, what you want to do though is add a mechanic like Bred and Fred has for checkpoints or make specific checkpoints through the game so the player won't lose his progress. Basic way to implement it is through difficulty in options, player has the option to have 0/10/20/Unlimited checkpoints and you let him put where he wants. Physics seemed good to me didn't experience any bug i think. About the graphics i think it needs polishing and a bit more consistency, the environments don't always blend well.
In addition had some issues with screen freezing, probably not good optimization but nothing huge to impact the game-play.
Will try to finish it though haven't made it to the end yet!
Really like the Idea behind it but i would like to have a goal. My suggestion is you either make a guide with all the possible combinations and they have some use in the game-play, not just decorative purpose. Another thing i didn't like you cannot pin point create the block so you have big gaps, even if that's solved by dragging the blocks with the mouse. And that's where my biggest inconvenience come by, game is almost impossible to play when you have arrows as movement and you pin point with mouse there are too many buttons, consider using WASD for movement and rearrange the keys to neighboring keys on the keyboard. Contact me if you want more info, i'd be glad to help!
