It's a shame. This game used to be fun, and used encouragement to get players to spend a little $$ or a lot depending on how much they wanted. Now it requires players to spend $$, and a lot, just to progress in the game. It's not fun any more.

It's all P2P $$. There are points multipliers you can buy, also with $$, so it's possible those people are getting more tokens / purchase because of the multipliers, but I don't know.
The game is now all P2P. I've stopped trying with events, until things change for the better. A lot of people are quitting.
I did not spend the 150 gems for that quest. You have to log in several times (10-15) a day to maximize your boss fights to get as many tokens / day as you can. The main problem is time. It also helps to have research combos ready at the start of the event to clear those first few quests so you're not waiting for them early.
Whatever the reason, it's a killer for F2P. I was able to take reasonable actions to get the mythic 7 as a F2P when it was 75k but this event has been brutal and not fun. I've had to log in more often, and get less sleep, and I still may not make the mythic 7 despite all that effort.
I ask the devs to move it back to 75k. This is harming the game. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it actually has a ripple effect on the late push for F2P to get the mythic.
All coffers (silver and gold) no longer give random non-event cards. You only get one event card from silver coffers, and NO cards at all from gold coffers, only tokens towards the event mythic.
This is a HUGE step down from previous events. Very disappointing, since I like the new interface changes (quest "map", the way boss fights regenerate, how it indicates a boss is ready to fight again).
Ranking lists are 100% artificial bots. Players have compared ranking lists and they are different at same moment in time. In game you only earn points in multiples of 5 (for example 125, or 1010 etc.). Earlier in event rank list had "players" with odd scores like 39117 which is impossible in game. They have "fixed" this so it's less obvious now but they are all bots.
Something I've noticed is because of the minimum 20 card deck size.
If you have 20 cards in your deck, and merge two cards in your deck, the game will pull a card from your inventory to fill that empty spot.
That is, after merging you have 19 cards. This is an invalid deck size. So the game pulls a random card from your inventory to bring you back up to 20.
I wonder if Sirop thinks the Cow Curator appearing in their deck is "extra" when they may find that it came from inventory.
Sirop, I would report this bug by the link in game.
It sounds like Sirop is saying they tried to merge the Lady Vamp and wound up with the merged Lady Vamp, an unmerged Lady Vamp, and a bonus Cow Curator?
As in:
BEFORE: Lady Vamp 6, Lady Vamp 6
EXPECTED: Lady Vamp 7
AFTER: Lady Vamp 7, Lady Vamp 6, Cow Curator N
I don't have that event, so I don't know for sure.
But in events I've seen, there is sometimes a difference between having something (cards, fuses, research combos, arena chests, etc.) and getting something. That is, you may have many common cards, but the quest is looking for you to get more common cards. You'll have to earn them while the quest is open.
There's also a possibility that they cycle through event types. I.e. "Bee", "Cow", then guessing "Bunny" then "Cat" then back to "Bee" then "Cow" or whatever.
If you have the 2x fused cards from the first "Cow" then you're set up better for the second "Cow" and it might be easier to pass.
Just a guess though.
Game has been playable, with some occasional slow-downs, for several months for me (Linux desktop, FF and Chrome). But the last week or so, something changed. Now it's painfully slow, and almost unplayable. Started about a day or two after the event ended.
I basically only log in 1-2 times a day for the daily reward and collect my arena chests. Even that takes 20 to 30 minutes because it's so excruciatingly slow.
Is this playable for ANYONE now?
Seems like bad luck / bad RNG?
On the one hand, it only took me 4 or 5 tries to get the Epic (blue card) out of the silver (15000 cash) box for the event quest. Probably very lucky on my part, I'm typically seeing 1 out of 20 or so like you.
On the other hand, I've only gotten one legendary (red) card out of the gold (50 gem) box the whole time I've been playing. Which is probably bad luck on my part, but like you I've only been grinding free gems from daily logins so that's probably only 10-12 boxes total.
Also I assumed this was a new rollout, the first event of its kind, so I was tolerant of what I perceived to be flaws with the system. The fact that there have been other events? And they haven't made any changes to the structure, fixed any of the scaling / pricing issues, haven't addressed any of the problems? Wow.
Here's hoping they're reading this feedback and taking notes. I'm trying to be constructive.
It seems like a mistake or an oversight that there's no way to grind even small amounts of stars/milk from like arena battles or adventures. Other games from this company, for world events, there was always a way for F2P people to at least be involved. Yeah, you're not going to compete with the $$$ folks and win the top prizes, but you could always compete for the mid- and lower-tier prizes with some dedicated grinding.
Like maybe if arena chests dropped 10-20 milk/stars, and you could get a 1-5 milk/stars per adventure battle. SOMETHING.
What's weird is this kind of makes me not want to spend $$$ on the game. Because I'm calculating how much money I'd have to spend to get enough gems to accelerate all the milestones, and the prices (in gems) on everything is so high. It doesn't seem worth it.
I understand they need to make money, but it's like no one at the company did cost/benefit analysis, just slapped some numbers and called it a day.
